Please Step Forward!

This is another image that I purchased a while ago to hoard until I got Copics, one of those GORGEOUS images that NEEDS the color and depth of Copic markers. It's Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm and she's a beauty! I didn't even attempt to color this with regular makers when it arrived some time back... nope, it was just gonna wait! BOY am I glad... it was worth the wait. I did this last night copying someone else's card posted SOMEWHERE online.... I SO wish I could remember where. That particular Geisha Anya project was all in blue, but because I didn't have the coordinating papers in blue, I chose to re-create it in burgundy. And when I say re-create, I mean it! This is ALMOST a perfect dupe (imitation is the greatest form of flattery.... it doesn't have to mean I'm a big ol' copy cat! hahahahaha)! I'm just really, really good! Just kidding. Honestly... it's the original card that was SOOOO good, I just had to duplicate it! I just wish I knew who the artist was. "Would the proud owner of this card in blue, please step forward!?!"

MY VERY FIRST CRICUT CARTRIDGE GIVE AWAY!

Ok ... so the time has come. I've got some BRAND NEW, NEVER BEEN USED, STILL IN THE PLASTIC Cricut Cartridges to give away over the next couple of months and it starts with one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITES...... Hannah Montana! YAY! I LOVE this cartridge! It's got the most beautiful guitar images along with musical notes and FIVE fonts! I used the regular font and the rock star font to create my Father's Day card this year (see above). I also used the Hannah Montana cart (see below) to create a beautiful butterfly (FREE Gypsy cut file HERE ), and am currently working on a project using the gorgeous solitaire diamond. There's a rose and lips and decorative hearts, even a Pegasus ! There's just so much on this cartridge.... I use it a lot! To call this a "font" cartridge is terribly misleading. It's been a long time favorite and now I'm THRILLED to be able to give it away to one of my awesome readers! So here's how to win: Become one of my follower...

RIP My Friend

I think this is what drowning feels like.  I lost a friend yesterday.  And I'm afraid that I am just having a very hard time finding the words to express what the world lost.  I'm having a hard time KNOWING she's gone.  I just can't believe that Trisha Giallella died yesterday. I've known Trish for a large chunk of my life; she was the sister of my sister's ex husband. But for all the years that I knew her, I never REALLY knew her until very recently.  Oh sure, over the years I would listen in awe at all her stories.... stories of making movies in Hollywood, the wild parties and dating Rick James.  To a young girl of 15, those stories seemed like something from TV itself and far removed from my own piddly little life.  The fact that she even shared her stories with me sent me into a stuper.  I always had stars in my eyes when I listened to Trish talk, she was so glamorous and very, very tough... very passionate and good at "living".  I...
