The Witch's Hat

Check out what I featured for my Spectrum Noir design team post today!!!  I figured, what could be better than a tutorial on coloring the creases and folds in a witch's hat???  After all, it IS the day before Halloween!!!  So once I had her colored, I KNEW exactly what I was going to do with her!!!  A coffin treat box of course!!! Isn't that coffin treat box CU-UTE???  I'll go ahead and list the Spectrum Noir colors I used to color this gorgeous little Saturated Canary witch from the Witchkeys digi (click HERE to get the digi) and then I'll post the tutorial pics for creating hat creases.   Witch's Hat, Dress and Shoes:  IG9, IG4, IG1 Accessories:  PL1, PL4, OR1, TN3 Skin:  EB1, EB2, IG3 Hair and Book of Spells:  TN7, TN3, TN1 "Best Witches" outlined with CG1 Ok, here's the tutorial: Ok, that does it!  Be sure to check the Spectrum Noir blog for MORE projects, tips and tricks from th...

Defy Gravity

Alright, this one's been a long time comin!!!  I've been sitting on Saturated Canary's Rags and Witch FOREVA!!!  Why I waited until now to color her is beyond me.  Maybe its because something inside me knew that one day I'd get fine nibbed alcohol ink markers.  Welp, that something inside me was RIGHT!!!  And if you've been peeking at my blog over the course of the past few days (cuz that's how long I've had them), you'll see that I'm going CRAZY for the new Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens.  There are many reasons why I love them and that fine nib is only one.  I honestly did not think I was going to like coloring with a small bullet nib.  Turns out its a bit easier to get into the small tight coloring areas, doesn't color badly in the larger areas like I thought it would and allows me a bit more control.  I'm more than a little surprised at just how much I DO like that smaller nib!!!  And this little witch is proof that the smaller ni...

There's Something On My Desk!!!

After so long of having a completely unmanageably covered desk (I'm talkin the kind of "covered" that keeps you from doing ANYTHING) it was so nice to finally look at it empty... BUT, as most scrappers will tell you an empty desk is almost as suffocating as a packed one.  So take a peek at what's on my desk now!  And it's about to have company!!!  I am going to be heading to a Super Bowl party and am putting together some goodies for the super fun event.  More on that tomorrow.  I'm also doing my nails later today for the event.  OOOOOOO.... so much good stuff to share!!!  Catchall later!!! *Krista, I wrote down each of the markers that I used for this, but OF COURSE I can't find it now because my desk is clean!!!  And this cutie pie is the Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Little Light of Mine.

I Keep Staring!!!

So, I am COMPLETELY GAGA for these Sugar Nellie Stamps!  This particular stamp is my favorite from the bunch!  It's called Fairytale and I just keep staring at it.  I haven't quite figured out what to do with this just yet, or even decided if it is done or not... I'm thinking not.... but I wanted to share it with a link to where you can find these INCREDIBLE stamps!!!  Click HERE to get your hands on my new favorites!!! I'm thinkin this one needs stitching... LOTS of stitching... perhaps on a card?  Before I go though (just for you Krista... cuz I love ya!), let me include the colors I used to color this so you can play on your own: B26, B41, B45, BG01, E00, E02, E19, E21, E41, E57, E59, R83, R85, W1, W3, Y13, Y26.  For my U.S. friends who want to order these stamps, I just bought two a couple of days ago and paid about $23 (with shipping) for two stamps.... worth EVERY penny!!!  I can't wait till they arrive!!!
