I Like Boys Who Sparkle!

**** HUGE HALLOWEEN GIVE AWAY... CLICK HERE !!!!****   So I'm working on a little technique tutorial while also putting together the Twilight Breaking Dawn Release party at Paper Vineyard... yah, this is getting pretty interesting, wouldn't you say?  HAHAHAHAHA! Well, OF COURSE, this was going to end up a Twilight project!!!  Honestly, could it REALLY have gone any other way???  Anyway, featured here is TGF's Edward and this little guy is PERFECT for my class on Hair:  Finding Highlights Even Loreal Would Love (I was going to add "Cuz We're Worth It" to my class title, but then that seemed like it might be a bit too long, and could possibly get me into trouble).  And what about that paper????  I've been having a BALL with that DCWV Immortal Love line.  The "Sparkle" sentiment is actually a chipboard piece from this line and then I took two brads, melted some Sparkle Glitter Embossing Powder on them before adding them to the sentiment to bling it...

BEYOND The Burtonesque Dolls

**Click HERE for Halloween Give Away** INTRODUCING..... The new design team:  Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls!!!  Our first challenge for the "NEW" dolls was to create a project inspired by our favorite Halloween film, book or memory.  Mine is The Addams Family.  I grew up watching The Addams Family in the afternoons after school.  This show surely kick-started my interest in all things macabre and Halloweeny!!! So my card is quite simple as I didn't want anything to detract from that AWESOME Moxxie paper from the Midnight Dreary line.  The stamped image is The Greeting Farm's Wednesday and the sentiment is from Tickled Pink Stamps' Halloween Sentiments.  To finish this one off, I added some Cuttlebug bats and sewing machine stitches.  This one is creepy, kooky and cute just like The Addams Family. So what's YOUR inspiration?  Head over to Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls and check out what the rest of the design team turned out and to get ...

Self Discovery

Ok, so this week's challenge over at Make It Colourful is to create an original project featuring smooth gradients.  Guess what...... I just discovered that I see the world in ultra high contrast, so this one was oh-so-tough for me. I worked VERY hard on this project to really blend and keep lines smooth.... yah, REALLY tough!  But overall, I'm pretty proud of this one!!!!  I used WAY MORE Copic markers than I'm used to and in more consecutive sequencing than I typically do... no jumping four and five shades, well, not too much... OK, I DID A LOT OF JUMPING, hahahahahhaha!   WHAT!?!  I told you it was tough!!! So here we go:  Stamps I used were Summer Fairy from The Greeting Farm and Make It Crafty's Forest Flower .  The Copic markers I used were:  E35, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E49, E50, E51, R46, Y0000, Y26, YG03, YG63, YG93, YG97, YR12, YR14, YR15, W00, W0,W3, W5 Welp, that about does it fo...

Back In The Saddle

Well, here I am! Back after a hard couple of weeks, but I'm thrilled to have such an AWESOME crafty diversion (I REALLY needed it too)! So Make It Colourful is running a pretty cool challenge this week to create a monochromatic/vintage/photo project, click HERE to check out the details for the challenge and to see what the rest of the design team turned out (the projects are AMAZING!!!). My project has that dreamy, Victorian feel to it featuring The Greeting Farm's Freaky Flutter digi as well as Make It Crafty's Open Window digi . For those who do not know, Make It Crafty's blog has THE BEST tutorials! To see how to layer two digis (like the two I'm featuring here), check out Make It Crafty's How To Use Your Make it Crafty Digital Stamps in MS Word video tutorial. For this project I also mixed the neutral, warm and cool grey Copic Markers... I've never done THAT before! I thought it ended up being a pretty neat effect. Everywhere I envisioned there would...

A Revisit

Ok, so after receiving multiple emails on how I made this album and the stuff I used, I thought it would be a great project to feature for the Paper Vineyard's new design team since Paper Vineyard is where I got everything... well, almost. First off, the album was made using The Cinch. This binder is the EASIEST binder system I've ever used! Check out the video HERE . Also, all the papers and embellishments were gotten at Paper Vineyard. The flowers and pearls are just miscellaneous that I picked up while browsing and the buttons are from the Graphic 45 Staples collection. The mini clothes pin are one of MANY colors that were newly stocked at PV (check out the red ones for upcoming Christmas projects). All the stamps came from my own personal stock, but check Paper Vineyard's stamp collections often as there are rumors of certain stamps that may or may not be featured here coming to PV. Oh and the papers are also Graphic 45 from their Steampunk Debutante line... the last ...

INSPIRED!

So, I was looking for SOMETHING to give to my sister for her bridal shower coming up this weekend, and you know how it is when you just can't seem to find the perfect thing... especially for the girl who has everything. Well, what about a mini album so she can compile her shower photos? BRILLIANT if I do say so myself! And she DOES love to create... it's the artist in us both. Yep, mini album it is! So a few days ago I was stalking the sites (as I sometimes do) and ran across this little gem at The Greeting Farm: I don't know who created this masterpiece, but the postmarks and the monochromatic "aged" look was PERFECT for my sister... and I happen to have the PERFECT set of stamps from 7 Gypsies that featured Italian images and postmarks! YAY! Knowing that Italian is right up her alley, I was all over it!!! I bound 4 pages and matted the pages with complimentary papers from Graphic 45 and 7 Gypsies (you KNOW how I love them) and left it at that. I might throw in...

The Mess That Is Me Mid-Day

So my final project at The Town Scrapper is a two-parter for today's Showcase Monday. And Wow... what a project it is! It managed to morph at least 3 different times while putting it together. I am a MESS when trying to create in the afternoon. Catch me at 8 a.m. and Imma craftin fool, catch me at midnight and you'll find the same thing.... but 1 p.m. I crash! So I mentioned what a mess I am mid-day as one of the "three things about me" that I needed to add for the blog award I received the other day. Brace yourself.... this was the project I worked on Saturday at 1 p.m. Now I wonder why that made the list? HAHAHAHAHAHA! My project features one of three images from The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya collection and started out just being an embellishment on the outside of a pocket that I was going to add to a card that was going to hold a gift certificate. Whew! The sentiment was originally, "Relax". THEN I realized that the pocket was a bit too large to h...

Inking Pink Blog Hop

Hi Hoppers! Danielle, a.k.a. FitterTwit here.... so glad you made it!!! If you're mid-hop, you should be arriving here from Chelsea's blog . Was that a great project or what!?! If you're just joining us and need to start the hop from the beginning, you're gonna want to head over to our lovely Hop Hostess Patricia's blog to start the fun here on our VERY IMPORTANT Inking Pink Blog Hop! Here's to Breast Cancer Awareness!!! My project for this hop is a reminder card..."Remember your checkups!" What a wonderful way to say "I love you" to a dear friend or family member. Now you may not be able to see it in the pic above, but I altered The Greeting Farm's Ebony so that her tee shirt reads, "Say YES to Mammograms!" So, today I wanted to share HOW I added the words to her tee. First I printed the words as small as I could and still be able to read the message using my laser printer onto the paper that I would be using to color in my im...

Hey Ghoulfriend!

Today is our Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper and I decided to use up the paper that I worked with yesterday for my project today. Is it me, or does Martha Stewart ROCK Halloween??? This paper is from this year's Halloween paper pack... love it! Anyway, Phebe at The Town Scrapper (Ontario, Canada) carries The Greeting Farm stamps, among others, and that's what I chose to feature in today's showcase. This is TGF's Ebony. Isn't she perfect? How she can be all smiles in the middle of a graveyard is beyond me.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Anyway, if you'd like to get your hands on her, you can reach Phebe at 519-882-0623 or by email at info@townscrapper.com. So while I was making this I discovered that I used up all of my red flowers last Christmas. Funny enough, I didn't have my Copics yet, so normally that would cause a problem. NOT this time! I'm SO diggin those red veiny flowers!!! Copics are the best! Don't forget about the challenge that started yesterda...

Is There Really a Contest?

I spent this morning playing with my markers. I pulled out an old digital stamp that I had colored a while back using my Stampin Up markers. Wow... it seems like FOREVER ago that I was coloring with those markers when really it was just a matter of months. And then I got my Copic markers and suddenly my $120 set of Stampin Up markers went forgotten! I pictured, for a second, what my life would have been like in third grade if I discovered Copic markers back then. Considering the entire third grade class shared communal markers, I imagine I would have learned how to fight! hahahahahahaha! Anyway, I got to work this morning coloring the same digi using my Copics and every stroke confirmed to me that my Copic markers were worth the continuing and ever growing investment. The gradient coloring options and the blendability of the Copic markers makes whatever project you are working on come to life in such a magical way! I'm going to be holding a Copic class on September 25 and I'...

Bad To The Bone

WOW, WOW, WOW! This little Ebony stamp from The Greeting Farm is SOOOOO up my alley! Really, she colored herself folks since this little chickie looks like me... SUPER easy! HAHAHAHAHAHA! She's bad to the bone, isn't she? Anyway, be sure to head over to The Town Scrapper to check out today's awesomely wonderful Monday Showcase. The design team did a FANTASTIC job! When you get over there, be sure to click on the "Store Info" tab to send Phebe an email asking about the incredible specials that she's running this month... tell her FitterTwit sent you! ;) Happy Monday!! :)

Peace of Mind

There is just something about the Asian culture and it's themes that just soothes my soul. From Feng Shui and Eastern medicinal remedies to the imagery and even the music, there's just something about it that speaks to me. So when I saw this little Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm stamps, I just HAD to have her. I've colored her a couple of different ways, but the green/purple/red color combination as GOT to be my favorite. And stamps like this can be used to make cards to be given for just about ANY occasion. My next use for this little gem of a stamp is to swap out the flower in her hair for a snowflake and color her all in blue for a "snow geisha"... that one is going to ROCK!!! So a quick shout out to The Town Scrapper: Geisha Anya you see here is featured in today's Showcase Monday (check it out HERE ). And, in the same post, The Town Scrapper is announcing some pretty incredible specials. You'll want to head over and check them out.... not to ment...

Father's Day Card Part Deux

This was my first pop out card! I'm so thrilled with how this turned out. I also love that I did a "girly" father's day card! It's not like anything I've seen before and still cool enough to give to Dad. The stamped image is the new Thursday stamp from The Greeting Farm. I used my Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge to cut out the words. The patterned paper for both the inside and outside of the card was from the Rusty Pickle's Pirate Princess... I love those papers! In fact, the flourishes you see on the front of the card (see below) are actually one of the Pirate Princess papers.... that is the beauty of pattered paper! To see even more fun designs, check out The Town Scrapper's Showcase Monday HERE . Happy Monday everyone and I'll see you back here in a little while to announce the winner of my Pink Gunmetal FLASH give away!!!

There's still a LITTLE bit of time to enter! For details, click HERE ! Good luck everyone!

My Entry

I often joke that behind my pink skin and red hair, there is a goth girl screaming to get out. I JUST LOVE the classic elegance of that dark ambiance; it's just romantic and mystic and unearthly. Yep, my goth girl needs out once in a while and it's challenges like the one The Greeting Farm is hosting that gives me that outlet to set her free. Their "Farm Fresh Fridays" challenge this week just so happens to be called "Goth Inspiration". My heart did a flip when I read this week's title and I just KNEW this was the challenge for me. I spent the WHOLE DAY today working on this card and I loved every minute of it. This is BY FAR the prettiest card I've ever made. And while I hope I win (of course), even if I don't, this card will be treasured. So here's a side shot because the front view just doesn't do this beauty justice. This thing is LAYERED and is the most dimensional card that has movement because of the dangling teapot charm. Did I m...

I LOVE WINNING!!!

Ok, so I just won this AMAZING digi stamp from The Greeting Farm !!!! Not only do I adore their stamps because the images ROCK, but also because they are the perfect practice with my copic markers! And this particular stamp already has a home! I'm making it part of my garden page. This little Anya (check out club Anya for all the Anya characters HERE ) is going to be transformed into "Farmer Danielle" and posted on my garden layout. Perfect... she looks just like me! hahahahaha! Anyway, I just love winning! Remember folks, you can't win if you don't play, so run over to The Greeting Farm's Blog for all of the upcoming releases, activities, and opportunities to win free goodies! And I'll be sure to post "Farmer Danielle" as soon as she's finished! :) UPDATE: hahahahahaha... I didn't win THIS digi stamp! hahahahaha! I won a different one from last week. Be SURE to click on the blog link above to participate in THIS WEEKS give away! She su...

Please Step Forward!

This is another image that I purchased a while ago to hoard until I got Copics, one of those GORGEOUS images that NEEDS the color and depth of Copic markers. It's Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm and she's a beauty! I didn't even attempt to color this with regular makers when it arrived some time back... nope, it was just gonna wait! BOY am I glad... it was worth the wait. I did this last night copying someone else's card posted SOMEWHERE online.... I SO wish I could remember where. That particular Geisha Anya project was all in blue, but because I didn't have the coordinating papers in blue, I chose to re-create it in burgundy. And when I say re-create, I mean it! This is ALMOST a perfect dupe (imitation is the greatest form of flattery.... it doesn't have to mean I'm a big ol' copy cat! hahahahaha)! I'm just really, really good! Just kidding. Honestly... it's the original card that was SOOOO good, I just had to duplicate it! I just wish I k...

She's So Goth....

This is my little "POE-esque" card. I love, love, love the Creepy Cakes digi stamps from The Greeting Farm and am thrilled that this one worked so well with the ULTRA THICK Diamond Glaze ( JudiKins ) that I POURED on there. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! I REALLY, REALLY love this card. I also did another one with Roses... another Goth creation! I'm tellin you, there's a Goth girl screaming to get out! hahahahaha! I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with this one. It's really pretty... I'm gonna have to think on it.

When It Rains, It Poors

This has got to stop! I'm broke! Stamps, Copic markers, paper, ink... and now *DIGI STAMPS!!! All of this is a must to prepare for when my Copics arrive, but I've GOT to slow down! Isn't it worth it though... check out that pic!!! Earlier today I mentioned that I would be posting more inspiration that I discovered at Summerthyme Studio ... well, here it is! The images in the pic are digi stamps that I purchased from The Greeting Farm . I knew OF digi stamps, but (just like Copics) I didn't see the big draw for digital stamping. OH... do I know better now. Digi stamps are the PERFECT PALETTE for coloring! Not only can you tailor the size of the image (which I'm still trying to perfect), but you can print multiples which is an awesome convenience for anyone who makes multiple cards. Cards For Soldiers ! hahahaha! And the BEST discovery that I've found is that my laser printer's toner sets and DOESN'T MOVE or bleed. The images pictured were colored with Sta...
