Final Project This Weekend

MY KRAFTIN KIMMIE STAMPS ARRIVED!!!! These are the greatest stamps EVER made!!! Can you tell that I adore these stamps? These stamps are what started the WHOLE Copic marker adventure from a week ago (they are the ones I told you about featured on Summerthyme Studio). Now, my Copics won't be here until Tuesday (fingers crossed), so I didn't even try to work on Charlotte (one of the two stamps I received; she's going to be my first Copic project), but pictured here is my Drucilla done with Stampin Up markers as I ATTEMPTED to blend. It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to, but the struggle with blending these markers unsuccessfully will only lend to help me once my Copics arrive. And besides, I wanted this one to show off! After all, there is a story behind me needing this stamp... this card was destined to be made over 15 years ago! :)

Over the years, every time my husband would accidentally hurt me and hear me say, "OUCH", he'd always respond with "Love Hurts!" Of course he'd hug me and do whatever to make it better, but that joke has ALWAYS been present throughout the years. Even when he'd hurt me not-so-accidentally, like when he purposefully hit a pressure point. He knew it would hurt, but he did it anyway... FREAK! His response when I SCREAMED, "THAT FREAKIN HURT" was (you guessed it), "Love Hurts". So you can understand my excitement when I saw this stamp. This isn't necessarily a card that I will send out for ANY kind of special occasion. No, this card is going to be reserved for that ONE circumstance where I'm going to need to apologize for SOMETHING (I'm quite sure I won't have to wait long knowing me) and then I'm going to give this to him with an apology written on the inside. I just know this card will make him smile, and I will be forgiven for WHATEVER IT IS, before he even gets to the inside.

In a VERY sick way, this stamp makes me happy.

Wish You A Scary Christmas

Ok... this the last challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls for 2010!!! Using any Nightmare before Christmas Images Create your best Christmas Project with that Burton Flair!ļ»æ This weeks winner will win... Three Exclusive Nightmare Before Christmas Images from Simply Betty Stamps . Oh man.... that's a HUGE prize! Head over to The Burtonesque Dolls and check out what the other awesome design team members created for inspiration. As for this one.... I KNEW I wanted to use the speckled grey cardstock for this one. I love how it resembles the granite of a gravestone. That's pretty Burtonesque, don't you think? I also found an awesome Engravers Font, but for some reason couldn't get it uploaded to my font folder. Too soon before Christmas for me to want to deal with glitches, so I just settled for an easy holiday font that I already had available. But for the record... the "Happy Holidays" in a tombstone font would have "NAILED" this project!!! Huh... I...

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...
