To The Ladies At The Paper Vineyard

So, yesterday was the day I demonstrated Copic markers at The Paper Vineyard. They held a "Build A Book" event yesterday which featured multiple techniques and I got the pleasure of joining them. WHOA! Did I have a BLAST!!! Years ago when my favorite local scrapbook store (or lss) Recollections closed its doors, one of the lovely ladies who worked there opened her own scrapbook store and hired many of her fellow staffers from that Recollections store..... The Paper Vineyard was born. And now 4-5 years later, they are still going strong. I do frequent the store quite a bit, but I gotta say, it was WONDERFUL seeing everyone together again at yesterday's event! Jean, Tina, Vanessa, Sue, Adrianna.... THANK YOU for making yesterday SO much fun!
And I certainly can't forget all of The Paper Vineyard's awesome customers! This is not coming from ANY sort of bias because I happen to be one of them.... The Paper Vineyard's customers are THE BEST! Ladies... I had so much fun showing you Copic techniques... thank you for making yesterday super special! And aren't we thrilled that they are bringing Copics into The Paper Vineyard? Things are definitely going to start getting wild and crazy (well, MORE wild and crazy) now that Copics are added to the mix! So, of course, I HAD to be in the middle of that! hahahahahahaha!

Again, yesterday ROCKED! I hope I get to do something like that again. Yesterday gets some major high fives! And before I go, check out the pic (click on the pic above to enlarge) of the AWESOME flower I learned how to make yesterday at one of the technique stations. It required minimal hand sewing and looks GORGEOUS! Stay tuned for a tutorial... they are so super easy!

You are so right - it was a very fun day! Thank you for demonstrating Copic markers. Several PV patrons indicated you spent time with them and they really enjoyed it, AND learned a lot!

Past 7 Days....

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

Maple Syrup vs. Honey

I did a post a while back about the nutritious sweetener for the lemonade on the Master Cleanse: maple syrup ! In fact, for quite some time now it has been my only sweetner (well, that and agave nectar... YUM!). But why maple syrup... isn't honey the magical sweetener? First, let's consider where both come from. One comes from a tree and the other comes from flowers, but is predigested and then regurgitated by a bee. Can you guess which is which??? hahahaha ! Really though, just the idea that an insect's already digested nectar from a flower lends to the idea that the nectar is already devoid of nutrients when it's vomited back up. Isn't that the whole point of digestion? To pull the nutrients from whatever it is you have ingested. So is it safe to say that honey is a bi product ? Or even a waste material? I would certainly call MY vomit a waste material... what about you? But beyond the gross visual I now have in my head of honey, I also have a real concern about ...

BACK To Halloween.... WHEW!

Okay... BACK to Halloween gifting this week!  We're makin more goody boxes using The Cutest Halloween Bundle again this week, we are also featuring the tags and labels dies from the July - December 2021 Mini Catalog (lovingly dubbed "the holiday mini").  I've got to admit, this bundle really is the cutest and I'm having SOOOO much fun playing with it simply because of how easy it is to work with.  The fact that the punch ALSO punches out the images from the DSP makes this one a super-huge winner for me.  I mean.... three goody projects in under an hour!?!  That's right!  This week's Freebie Friday On A Monday was actually recorded in under 40 minutes!  SO DOABLE to get ready for Halloween gifting!  As always, the link to the free PDF with supplies used and measurements is below the last pic and if you place a $35 or more from my online store (click "Shop With Me" in the banner at the top of this blog) using this week's Host/Hostess code  GHRG...
