A Little Change and High Five

Ok.... Green Smoothie Revolution by Victoria Boutenko... High Five Victoria, High Five!!!

I was SUPER excited to start this cleanse after reading the book and even convinced my husband to do this cleanse with me. I think he agreed to it since there isn't a "salt water flush" to do every morning and I can change up the smoothies every day. Not to mention that the smoothies are blended (more bulk) instead of juiced (more liquid), so I'm thinking that "full" feeling will help the cause. He agreed to 7 days with no meat, dairy or wheat, drinking only the green smoothies from this book for all his meals during the day. I told him that he can drink as much and as many smoothies as he wants.

Today was the first day for both of us and I mixed a WONDERFUL concoction using fresh, organic, pineapple, peaches, dandelion greens and celery mixed with water. The pineapple and peaches made it REALLY sweet.... so I would have to say that the first day is a SUCCESS. Tomorrow I will be blending watermelon and water for breakfast and then doing a "tomato soup" in the Vitamix for lunch/dinner using celery, spinach, garlic, tomato and onion. YUMMY!!!
I can already tell that I will be VERY successful with this little change.... I'm LOVING the variety! I wonder how long my husband will make it???? He lasted one day on The Master Cleanse the first time he ever tried it and never attempted again. This might just be what he needed too! hahahahahahaha! The next seven days are going to be fun!

I also found a great solution to "bulk up" the smoothies for those who need even more (I'm reserving this for if my husband complains of hunger): Teresa Wu's Green Smoothie Blog Post

Past 7 Days....

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

Quick Tip and Treat!

So I was on my group message board at P eertrainer.com and someone made a recommendation that I thought was wonderful! So wonderful in fact that I spent the afternoon balancing my checkbook to see if I can afford it!!!! Apparently the Magic Bullet is quite the go-to gadget for trainers and athletes! Why? Isn't that just another piece of garbage that they are trying to push on those infomercials??? Well, that's what I thought, but I've gotta say that more than one person in the discussion said that this piece of garbage is invaluable in keeping them on track with their nutrition. Here's what I heard today about the Magic Bullet: It's got a really powerful motor It really is quick and easy to use (the infomercial didn't lie) The handy single servings make it quick and easy to whip up a power shake for a quick "treat"! If you drink more than one a day, you can make many different types of shakes without continually dirtying up an entire unit! NICE! A co...

BRAGGERS!!!

Ok, so today's post is just a little venting for the day.... WHY are all my friends at the Winter CHA and I'm sitter here typing up this babble on my blog??? WHY am I not blogging FROM CHA??? And finally, WHY are all my friends sending little facebook messages from CHA seemingly guilt free. My friends are braggers..... HUGE BRAGGERS!!! Shame on all of you. If I was at CHA, I surely wouldn't be bragging about it. I wouldn't post pics of all the cool people I'm meeting and all the awesome new products that I'm playing with. And I certainly wouldn't be trying to score a pic with Tim Holtz like we're both old friends just meeting up at CHA. I wouldn't think that scoring that pic is like Tim and I are new BFF's.... I wouldn't!!! I would attend with the proper decorum befitting a CIVILIZED crafter and I DEFINITELY would wouldn't be shouting about it to all my friends who had to stay home. Shame, SHAME, SHAME !!!
