Soaptopia at Whole Foods

Sorry about all the "Master Cleanse" posts, but since not eating is kind of consuming my life today... I find myself unable to think about anything else to blog about. But this blog post is really great with a super master cleanse tip and a mega HIGH FIVE product.

Most anyone completing a cleanse knows that while one's body is detoxing, there is often an unpleasant body odor that accompanies until your system in clean. But the reality is that I don't want my husband to know about this odor... if you know what I mean. Enter Soaptopia!

Every time I have ever done the Master Cleanse, I have made it a point to only use all-natural toothpaste, shampoos and soaps. Since I'm trying to get unhealthy chemicals and toxins out of my body, it never made sense to put more back in while doing it. Unfortunately it's very hard to mask BO without chemicals... well, until now! I was at Whole Foods today to pick up some Master Cleanse staples and bumped into a display table with a clerk showing what looked like decadent cakes of all colors, shapes and sizes which would have been THE LAST thing I needed after not eating anything for four days. But the clerk caught me by saying, "they smell wonderful." I didn't hear a thing about taste... huh, she said smell... Oh! Soap! "They're hand made and all-natural", she added. Wow! Just in the nick of time! I'm about 2 days away from some serious BO... this soap deserved some checking out. They WERE a little pricey at $1.49/oz., but since I was paying by the ounce, I decided to pick a couple of small (yet strongly perfumed) blocks. Each block had a sign posted with every ingredient... all of which I could have eaten right then and there. Stupid cleanse! HA! I ended up getting a lemongrass bar and a frankincense and myrrh bar and rushed home to take a shower. That was at about 9 a.m. this morning. It is now about 7 p.m. and I STILL smell the frankincense and myrrh on me. This soap ROCKS and I will use it long after I'm finished with the cleanse. Just really great stuff that's really great for you. I can't believe that I'm actually going to smell pretty while doing the Master Cleanse! Yay!

Past 7 Days....

I'm Terribly Late.... I Know.

Yes, Yes... I'm terribly late... I know!  I was supposed to announce on April 1st that I'm having ANOTHER Favorite Things Birthday Give Away.  Well, here I am.... 7 days late, I'm here with the announcement.  BUT FIRST:  Let's check out some of the prize goodies!!! So pictured above is nail treatments from my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE nail treatment company... Nail Aid .  I LOVE their products, I LOVE their company and I LOVE their service.  And this year they GENEROUSLY donated another HAUL of their new products available at Walmart (check your local store for availability as I'm finding that not all of them carry it... which is NUTS!).  They are just so generous... THAT'S FIVE PRODUCTS!!!  Now I've never tried these products... being that they are new, but I personally use MANY of their products and I love them.  So be sure to check out their website by clicking the link above.  And just so you know which ones are my favorites, I...

I'm A Little Late

So sorry about missing the mark on this one gang!  I was supposed to post my project for Make It Colourful yesterday, but I'm getting over being sick on top of a HECTIC and EXCITING work week and then was invited to breakfast yesterday to find out that MY SON GOT ENGAGED!!!!  Yeah, it's been quite the eventful couple of weeks!  So I'm posting my project this morning since.... I start the Master Cleanse today and quite frankly could use a little diversion!  LOL! So this project features this week's sponsor over at Make It Colourful , Whimsy Stamps.  The stamps I used are Whimsy stamp, Girl With Kitty and Make It Crafty's Crooked Picket Fence .  The background coloring is actually from a "doodle" page that I was doing while practicing with my new Copic airbrush system.  I ended up printing out the Crooked Fence over top of it and coloring in the fence to finalize it.  I think the background really turned out great and created it's ow...

Praying For A Miracle Day 1

I could really use a miracle!  Today is day two in whatever this thing that I'm doing is going to end up being.  I'm hopeful, as I always am, that THIS time it is going to take and my life with be transformed.  And by "it", I'm talking about overcoming my addiction to eating and living a healthy life!  Maybe now is the time!?!  I mean, when I was a smoker, I remember trying over and over again to quit and it just wouldn't take..... until it did.  And when it did, it was effortless and it was for good.  So I have experience with big, successful changes in my life.  Why couldn't the stars be aligned this time? Well, I believe they have.  And I'm not ashamed to say that I'm tapping into WHATEVER I have in my arsenal to take it on.  My Body For Life workout schedule, a daily Bible devotional, becoming addicted to self-help books (already there really) and taking advantage of a newly retired husband who can p...
