Inking Pink Blog Hop

Hi Hoppers! Danielle, a.k.a. FitterTwit here.... so glad you made it!!! If you're mid-hop, you should be arriving here from Chelsea's blog. Was that a great project or what!?! If you're just joining us and need to start the hop from the beginning, you're gonna want to head over to our lovely Hop Hostess Patricia's blog to start the fun here on our VERY IMPORTANT Inking Pink Blog Hop! Here's to Breast Cancer Awareness!!! My project for this hop is a reminder card..."Remember your checkups!" What a wonderful way to say "I love you" to a dear friend or family member. Now you may not be able to see it in the pic above, but I altered The Greeting Farm's Ebony so that her tee shirt reads, "Say YES to Mammograms!" So, today I wanted to share HOW I added the words to her tee.

First I printed the words as small as I could and still be able to read the message using my laser printer onto the paper that I would be using to color in my image with Copics. Then I pulled out my Stampamajig and stamped my little Ebony image on the included acetate following the instructions that were included with the Stampamajig. It's a tool that is used to place stamped images PERFECTLY. I LOVE this great little tool!!! I bought it on clearance at Michaels about a year ago for $5! That was the best $5 I ever spent. I use the Stampamajig, mainly, for placing sentiments... I can't stand when they are crooked on my cards... but it came in real handy this time for placing the image around the wording!!!

The instructions for the Stampamajig are really well written and the tool is just so easy to use.

Finally, before stamping Ebony on my project, I cleaned the stamp (without removing it from my acrylic block... the placement on the block is vital when using the Stampamajig) and then placed a trimmed piece of Scotch tape over the skull on the rubber image to be sure the skull wouldn't stamp. Once the rubber was inked, I used a set of tweezers to pull off the tape and then, using the Stampamajig again, stamped the image on my project.

I used Copic markers to color her in and backed her on Rusty Pickle Pirate Princess paper. The die cut that is shown was done using Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge and I accented the project to bring a little "grunge" using washi tape that I got from The Greeting Farm... yet ANOTHER product that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE... along with some miscellaneous clock stamps!!! For a final touch, I colored some white pearls using a pink Copic marker to match the pearls to my project. Aren't Copics just so great?!? I cannot wait to send this one out!

Welp, that's about it for my project! Now you're off to the fabulous Emma's blog for her Inking Pink Blog Hop project! Have a blast on the hop and remember... Awareness Saves Lives!!!!
