A Little Help From My Friends


OMGosh!!! It's almost October!!!! I'm so freakin excited!!! AND we're just days away from the Little Hop of Horrors!!! I've been working in my laboratory.... uh, I mean craft room all week planning, preparing and creating not only for the hop, but for Halloween... I'M SO EARLY!!! I'm having trouble sleeping at night with all the spooktacular delights dancing in my head!
So today, here's my "The Right Shoe Can Change A Girl's Life!" This one turned out so totally adorable!!! About a week ago, my new friend Krista of Red Car Productions made me the super cute witch's shoe that is featured in this card during her Copic airbrushing demonstration. The witch's shoe is actually a pair of witch's shoe dies made by Spellbinders... rather appropriate name huh?!? Anyway, when I left, I told her that I WOULD use them. Isn't this just fabulous?!? I NEED that airbrush system!!!
Anyway, I just HAD to show you all this super cute card. I SO WISH this was a sneak peek at my blog hop project... but you will all just have to wait till Saturday (I just hope I can wait that long!). Have a great one!
PS. I have not forgotten about the promised Book Tutorial. I just got sidetracked with, well, HALLOWEEN! hahahahahahaha! I will have it posted soon though. I promise that you won't have to wait until Thanksgiving! :)

Yes...you "need" the airbrush system ;) And it looks like you "need" to show us what you did with the other shoe :) It was great getting to know you better today. Don't get sucked in to the blog vortex again...get some sleep! LOL!!!

Fire Proof

I don't know what it is about this movie, but I can't get enough of it. Since it's release on DVD, I've watched Fire Proof at least a dozen times! My heart swells thinking about what has been given to me versus where I came from. The following is a blog post that I wrote last year after first watching the movie and it kind of just sat as an unfinished draft. But here it is, the middle of the night and I woke up with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the opportunities that I have and the blessings that I've received. So, with that being said, here's my post on Fire Proof.... better late than never. I am also adding a special note at the end... an excerpt from a note that I wrote for a friend (in case anyone here can use it.. LOL). I was married, then divorced, at a very young age. Like Michael in the movie, I didn't know any better and did the best I could in a situation that was not working out. I did everything I could to make that marriage work...

Sweet & Spicy Chicken w/ Whole Wheat Pasta Salad

Wow! It's been a while since my last healthy recipe post. That speaks volumes on how I've been eating lately! Well, I put my nose back to the grindstone and I'm back with a healthy vengeance! :) This is my healthy Sweet & Spicy Chicken with Whole Wheat Pasta Salad. This turned out SOOOO much better than I expected. I hope everyone here loves it as much as I did. Sweet & Spicy Chicken w/Whole Wheat Pasta Salad 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breast 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Pastry Flour 2 tsp sea salt 1 tsp black pepper 2 tsp organic cayenne pepper 1 pinch of crushed red peppers (if you're sensitive to spice, you should omit) 2 tsp dried parsley flakes 1 Tbsp dried onion flakes Olive oil spray 2 egg whites 1 tsp water 4 Tbsp low calorie Sweet and Sour Sauce Preheat oven to 365 degrees.
