In Stitches

Ok, now for a little break from our Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge extravaganza! Although, if you'd like to enter to win a BRAND NEW HANNAH MONTANA CRICUT cartridge, head over to the give-away announcement post HERE.

So, over at The Town Scrapper, we're having a paper stitching challenge this week. Now you all know that I've been working on my paper stitching, and I've got to say that I think I'm getting better. The image I used for today's sample is Magical Sophie by Victoria Case. She's a big favorite of mine with Halloween right around the corner. EEEEE.... HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE!!! A-hem!

Where was I? .... the challenge is for any kind of stitching, faux stitching or real. I've just been working on paper sewing for a little while so ANY opportunity to stitch on paper... I'm all over it! My poor sewing machine doesn't know what fabric is, it's only seen it once! HAHAHAHAHAHA! So let's see what you create! The STITCH Challenge runs from today until September 23rd at 9:00 p.m. Simply head over to The Town Scrapper and upload your creation to the InLinkz at the bottom of today's post. Good luck, I'm psyched to see what you all do! :) For more info on products and specials available at The Town Scrapper (Ontario, Canada), contact Phebe at 519-882-0623 or by email at info@townscrapper.com.

**** Update: We are currently experiencing some technical issues over at The Town Scrapper, the challenge post should be up and running soon.

How to Upload Gypsy Cut Files To Your Gypsy

Well... Today was the big day for the Provo Craft Gypsy! Provo Craft FINALLY provided the Cricut Design Studio compatibility and now we also have the added benefit of sharing Gypsy cut files... but it was at a price. I will get to that in a later post. In honor of this occasion though, I will be adding my Gypsy cut files to my blog for everyone to use. You will find my cut files in the top right corner of my blog marked *NEW (at the top of the side bar). The instructions on how to download at the bottom of this post. I hope you all enjoy them... they've been a long time coming. The featured pic here is the "welded Snow" file. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS For those of you who already own the Gypsy, here are the instructions. There is no conversion needed because these files are only .gypsy files. To save them: 1.) Connect your gypsy to your computer, turn it on and open Gypsy Sync on your computer. 2.) Once the Gypsy Sync Program has searched for an updat...

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

Velcome To The Little Hop of HORRORS!!!

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So I tried to make the title sound really spooky and ran out of room to include my evil laugh... hahaha! WELCOME HOPPERS! Are you thoroughly spooked and amazed? I know I am! You already know that today is the start of our Halloween celebration with a blog hop organized by my good friend Nicole of Canadian Nickel Scrap'n . If you're currently hopping, you should be arriving here from the Fabulous Eulanda's blog ... wasn't that Caramel Corn Box AWESOME?!? If you haven't arrived from Eulanda's blog and are just now joining us, hop to the bottom of this post for details on how the blog hop works. And now for my scary good fun before you head over to Gloria's blog on the next stop of this hop. Today I've got the "Welcome" sign that I will be hanging in my foyer this Halloween. I used my Simple Frame Gypsy cut file as well as the pumpkins and faces from the Pumpkin Carvings Seasonal Cricut Cartridge (just like the one I will be g...
