How To Upload Gypsy Cut Files To Your Gypsy Updated

Update: Gypsy Sync has been replaced with Cricut Sync but uploading is still quite similar to the original procedure. For more info on the original instructions for Gypsy Sync, click HERE. Also, it is this blogger's advice that prior to installing Cricut Sync, Gypsy Sync should be removed from your system (not a requirement though). Here are the updated steps to upload your favorite Gypsy cut files...

1.) Locate files you would like to upload, most likely from a file-share source (all of mine are with Media Fire). Download, saving the item to your desktop.

2.) Connect your Gypsy to your computer (USB cable) and turn it on then open Cricut Sync. Cricut Sync automatically searches for an update for your Gypsy. If your Gypsy is up to date, you will receive a message stating it is up to date, click "Ok" and a Gypsy Projects list will appear.

3.) From there, click on "Add Projects" and choose the file you saved to your desktop. That's it! :)

Give a try for yourself. All of my cut files can be found half way down the right margin of this blog. Have fun uploading files!!!

Using any Nightmare before Christmas Images Create your best Christmas Project with that Burton Flair!ļ»æ This weeks winner will win... Three Exclusive Nightmare Before Christmas Images from Simply Betty Stamps . Oh man.... that's a HUGE prize! Head over to The Burtonesque Dolls and check out what the other awesome design team members created for inspiration. As for this one.... I KNEW I wanted to use the speckled grey cardstock for this one. I love how it resembles the granite of a gravestone. That's pretty Burtonesque, don't you think? I also found an awesome Engravers Font, but for some reason couldn't get it uploaded to my font folder. Too soon before Christmas for me to want to deal with glitches, so I just settled for an easy holiday font that I already had available. But for the record... the "Happy Holidays" in a tombstone font would have "NAILED" this project!!! Huh... I...

RIP My Friend

I think this is what drowning feels like.  I lost a friend yesterday.  And I'm afraid that I am just having a very hard time finding the words to express what the world lost.  I'm having a hard time KNOWING she's gone.  I just can't believe that Trisha Giallella died yesterday. I've known Trish for a large chunk of my life; she was the sister of my sister's ex husband. But for all the years that I knew her, I never REALLY knew her until very recently.  Oh sure, over the years I would listen in awe at all her stories.... stories of making movies in Hollywood, the wild parties and dating Rick James.  To a young girl of 15, those stories seemed like something from TV itself and far removed from my own piddly little life.  The fact that she even shared her stories with me sent me into a stuper.  I always had stars in my eyes when I listened to Trish talk, she was so glamorous and very, very tough... very passionate and good at "living".  I...
