The Mess That Is Me Mid-Day

So my final project at The Town Scrapper is a two-parter for today's Showcase Monday. And Wow... what a project it is! It managed to morph at least 3 different times while putting it together. I am a MESS when trying to create in the afternoon. Catch me at 8 a.m. and Imma craftin fool, catch me at midnight and you'll find the same thing.... but 1 p.m. I crash! So I mentioned what a mess I am mid-day as one of the "three things about me" that I needed to add for the blog award I received the other day. Brace yourself.... this was the project I worked on Saturday at 1 p.m. Now I wonder why that made the list? HAHAHAHAHAHA!

My project features one of three images from The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya collection and started out just being an embellishment on the outside of a pocket that I was going to add to a card that was going to hold a gift certificate. Whew! The sentiment was originally, "Relax". THEN I realized that the pocket was a bit too large to hold a small gift card and decided to make a tag to go inside the pocket.... maybe I'll just add the pocket to a scrapbook layout? Nope! The third time's the charm.... I ended up removing Miss Anya from the pocket and adding her to the tag. The final version of this project didn't evolve until I redid the sentiment for the front of the pocket, "Giving Thanks". It was a "given" that the tag would be a "Thanks" card!!! And how perfect is the color palette for the Thanksgiving holiday??? The distressed sentiment is a nice addition for being an afterthought!!! hahahahahaha! Wow... so you all just got a glimpse at the utter confusion that befuddles me mid-day when trying to work in my scrapbook room. YIKES, pretty scary!!! I would just like to end this post with a special "THANK YOU" to ALL the wonderful ladies over at The Town Scrapper. The past 6 months designing with you and being your blog manager has been such a great pleasure!!! You all have taught me so much and were such a thrill to work with! I will miss working with you all, but you better believe that I will be visiting your blogs often. Please keep in touch... you all have become special friends to me. I gotta run now... I have something in my eye!

Thank goodness I already have that stamp set...otherwise you would have MADE ME buy more stamps!!! Why? Because this is super duper CUTE!

Lori... you are hilarious!!! Don't you recognize??? That's the stamped image YOU gave me at your class!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! This project is what I made with it! LOL! You and I were jibber-jabbering while I was coloring the hair... LOL! :)

Past 7 Days....

Healthy Pizza

Welp... I'm on vacation. I alotted 3 days to be bad and eat whatever I want. Boy did I ever! Yuck! I feel nasty, and bloated and just generally "out of whack"! So today will be a light eating day. Oh how I wish I would have just gotten the supplies I needed to do The Master Cleanse ... Damage control: Healthy Pizza (it's what's for dinner! LOL!) 2 cloves garlic 1/4 C. of olive oil Blend until smooth in the Magic Bullet. Expect to have some left over to store for future pizzas. 2 Mission Carb Balance tortilla shells (I use 2 small, but you can use 1 large) Thinly sliced mushrooms Thinly chopped bell peppers (all colors) Diced onion Thinly sliced zucchini Diced Cabbage (any color) Non Fat Mozorella cheese Any other vegetable that you prefer sliced thin... make sure not to use veggies that are too wet, as that will keep the tortilla from crisping. And be sure that you don't overload the tortilla, or you might have a hard time picking it up to eat... remember... ...

Food Saver Gold - Give Away!!

Sometimes I am just not a master of the obvious! Most of the time, pretty simple things elude me, but this time... Here is a VERY small sample of my stash (wow, that almost sounds illegal)! It was during one of my organizational rampages that I discovered this amazing and economical use after having to throw out bottles of polish that had gone unused for years. What a waste!!! And yes, I missed that particular use in the infomercial from way back when! :) NOW I know that when you hit sales on things like nail polish or shampoos, you can stock up and vacuum seal them and they stay just like brand new for when you're ready to use them. This is something that will free many polish lovers who fall in love with a specific color but cannot stock up for fear that the polish will dry up before they are through with the first bottle. Not anymore polish addicts and future polish addicts... here's your fix! I even did that with last years Halloween makeup! You know... the make up that you...

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...
