So Tough!

Ok... WOW! That was harder than I expected! Not doing the "No Embellishment" creation for The Town Scrapper's weekly challenge (pictured above)... this one sort of made itself cuz the image rocks... no, I'm talking about posting my final, farewell blog post for The Town Scrapper. HUH! I teared a little while writing that post. Those incredible ladies have given me SO MUCH in the six months that I've designed with them and been their blog manager! So I hope you all head over there and show them some love. Oh, and while you're there, enter the "No Embellishment" challenge. The winner will receive the image that I featured in this project. It's a Victoria Case Design called Big Dreams Evan.... one of my favorite Victoria Case stamps!!!

So, on to new and exciting adventures. I'M IN HOT PURSUIT! I have recently been doing Copic marker instruction and am about to embark on teaching Cricut and Gypsy classes! AND......I am also going after a really great design team position! I've been stalking this blog for some time and got the pleasure of working with members of it's design team during a couple of blog hops over the past month. They are a group of amazing designers that I KNOW will kick my own work up a notch if I am awarded the design team slot. Cross your fingers for me y'all! The design team call is over at The Burtonesque Dolls and I'm SOOOO HOPING I am one of the lucky designers that gets picked. And sending a couple of prayers my way couldn't hurt either. This design team style is SOOOO up my alley!!!

Ok, so to finish off today's post, I was asked to show pics from yesterday's Top Ten Scrapper-Gadget List. I thought it might be nice to spread it out a little so everyone isn't bombarded with a ton of information. So today I will feature the "bonus fave".... The Creative Options Grab and Go system!

This is a SERIOUS scrapper's Tool Box! The thing is ENORMOUS!



Not only do each of the three "trays" have a locking/snap lids, but they also store into the case with a locking/snap door. Everything is secure!


Finally, the top compartment is SO ENORMOUS!!! I LOVE this case. I'm thinking about picking up the mid-size one as well. I mean, this is AMAZING organization. I'm a freak for the Feng Shui and I LOVE knowing where all my stuff is! This baby does it for me! :)

Past 7 Days....

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

Maple Syrup vs. Honey

I did a post a while back about the nutritious sweetener for the lemonade on the Master Cleanse: maple syrup ! In fact, for quite some time now it has been my only sweetner (well, that and agave nectar... YUM!). But why maple syrup... isn't honey the magical sweetener? First, let's consider where both come from. One comes from a tree and the other comes from flowers, but is predigested and then regurgitated by a bee. Can you guess which is which??? hahahaha ! Really though, just the idea that an insect's already digested nectar from a flower lends to the idea that the nectar is already devoid of nutrients when it's vomited back up. Isn't that the whole point of digestion? To pull the nutrients from whatever it is you have ingested. So is it safe to say that honey is a bi product ? Or even a waste material? I would certainly call MY vomit a waste material... what about you? But beyond the gross visual I now have in my head of honey, I also have a real concern about ...

My New Adventure

I FINALLY got them!!!!!  My new Spectrum Noir markers arrived yesterday!!!  I'm super excited to be using these new alcohol ink markers and I'm even more excited for the privilege to play along with Spectrum Noir's design team!!! When I got the news that I had been accepted to the design team, I did a touch-down dance (seriously, I was like full-on in an end zone)... you can imagine how badly I wanted my hot little hands on these new toys.  And at around half the price of other alcohol ink markers, I knew that this new habit was not going to break my bank.  AND LOOK WHAT I DID WITH THEM. The images are from The Greeting Farm Sweet & Toxic set and the angel sentiment is from Tickled Pink Stamps.  The colors that I used for the adorable little girl were: Hair - EB8, TN8, TN5 and CR2 Skin- FS1, FS4, FS9 and PP4 Dress - DR7, DR5, DR1, CR6 and IG1 The colors I used for the boy: Hair - EB6, TN5, TN2 Skin - IG's Jeans - TB4, TB2, BGR4 Shirt - ???
