Day 15


Welp today's the day.... Day 15 ended with broth from this YUMMY vegetable soup.  Tomorrow morning will be orange juice for breakfast and soup for lunch.  Is that weird that I'm BEYOND excited for this soup???  Typically I end my fasts abruptly giving in to some ravenous craving totally skipping the vegetable soup that is meant to ease you back into eating after going so long without food.  This time the vegetable soup is what I am craving.  Well, that is certainly convenient and MUCH better than the HUGE bowl of guacamole I consumed at the end of my last Master Cleanse.  WOW... THAT craving was something else!  I literally ate 5 bowls (entire bowls) of guacamole that week.  And I'm all set for the breakfast casserole I will be making for Wednesday's breakfast.  Now the fun begins..... PORTION control.

The beauty of this fast is that my stomach has shrunk.  Portion control when you first get off a fasting cleanse is always super easy, but then you push it a little more and a little more until you're back to your old eating habits.  The goal for this week is mindful eating, food journaling and portion control.

Let the games begin.

Past 7 Days....

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

My Nail Stamp: Special Polish vs. Regular Polish

I do quite a few posts about the Konad nail stamper, I also READ a lot of other's posts about it. I've noticed that quite a few people ask about what to use: the Konad special polish vs. regular polish. Well, here is the low down! I use BOTH and I also use nail art paint. Each of them have pros and cons. Here's what I have found. NAIL ART PAINT PROS: Is thicker than regular nail polish (depending on the brand), but not as thick as the special nail polish. The nail art paint is usually HIGHLY pigmented due to the intended use. "Stickier" than regular nail polish which usually means a crisper image when stamped. It's usually super cheap. I buy mine from a local beauty supply store and spend $1 for each color. With some nail art paint brands , simple rubbing alcohol will remove a stamped image from your nail without removing your nail polish base color. CONS: The nail art brush is usually VERY thin making it harder to use. Image plate HAS to be cleaned in between...
