I'm A Little Late

So sorry about missing the mark on this one gang!  I was supposed to post my project for Make It Colourful yesterday, but I'm getting over being sick on top of a HECTIC and EXCITING work week and then was invited to breakfast yesterday to find out that MY SON GOT ENGAGED!!!!  Yeah, it's been quite the eventful couple of weeks!  So I'm posting my project this morning since.... I start the Master Cleanse today and quite frankly could use a little diversion!  LOL!
So this project features this week's sponsor over at Make It Colourful, Whimsy Stamps.  The stamps I used are Whimsy stamp, Girl With Kitty and Make It Crafty's Crooked Picket Fence.  The background coloring is actually from a "doodle" page that I was doing while practicing with my new Copic airbrush system.  I ended up printing out the Crooked Fence over top of it and coloring in the fence to finalize it.  I think the background really turned out great and created it's own depth for this project!  It looks almost out of focus behind the bright coloring on the Girl With Kitty.  That's what made me think of the sentiment.... it looked like a picture.  Anyway, I'm sure you will get to see more of my "doodles" with my Copic airbrush down the road, as I'm still learning new techniques and experimenting with it.  Hopefully you can tell that the challenge this week over at Make It Colourful is shadows and depth.

Head over to Make It Colourful and check out what the rest of the design team made.  I really am surrounded by the most talented people!!!   Also the challenge prize this week is 5 DIGIS from our sponsor Whimsy Stamps!!!  Good luck to everyone who enters.... let's see what you do with shadows and depth!!!!

Your card is super cute!

Congrats to you on your son's engagement. How exciting!
This is such a great card and I love how you did that background! The way you colored the girl from Meljen's makes it look like it's a different style of stamp - love that! So glad were on the same team. ;D *Hugs

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

Day 3 Ultra Rapid Growth

Well, today is day three of my Nail Aid Ultra Rapid Growth test and I've gotta say... I see a difference! Do you? It looks and feels like I've gotten quite a bit of length in three days. I love how the product feels when I put it on as a base coat and my last Konadicure lasted every bit of the three days before it was time to remove and reapply... which is better than some nail products out there that AREN'T nail treatment products. There is one thing that I'm noticing when applying the Ultra Nail Growth as a topcoat (per package instructions), I'm noticing air bubbles. There are only a couple of them on very few nails, but they are there. It COULD be simply that I'm applying it too thickly. I've never used this product before and I might need to change up my normal application slightly. I will give that a try on my day 5 mani... I'll let you know. Honestly, I can already tell you that this product is getting some serious high fives from me with or wit...
