Alcoholic

The Paper Vineyard's design team is featuring Valentine's Day themed projects and since I just got my Copic Airbrush system (including the AC101 Air Compressor... YEE!), OF COURSE I had to pull it out for this one.  So I used a Cuttlebug and a Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the heart emboss on both the Coredinations paper AND the tin foil I snagged from my kitchen.  I then sanded the Coredinations paper to reveal the pink core of the paper and make the hearts pop.  I also applied Ranger Alcohol inks to the foil... What is it about the alcohol inks???  I'm thinking I might be becoming an alcoholic!  Anyway, I finally pulled out my Copic pens (yes, more alcohol) and my airbrush system to make my flowers match the other elements of my project.  I've been going sooooo crazy with this new toy, I was half tempted to graffiti my living room wall before my husband got home the day I got it.  I can't wait for Paper Vineyard's airbrush system to finally arrive in the store.  We are going to have a blast with it!

Well, I could really go on about that forever... so better stop.  To see what everyone else on the design team created for this Valentine's theme, click HERE.  Have a great one gang and stay tuned... my second post of the day is right around the corner and it's a CRAZY design I did for this upcoming week's challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls!!!

Scandalously Evil Angels

These nail blogs.... I'll tell ya!!! Surfing through them can cause a serious need to RUN out and spend money! hahahaha! I saw this mani done by Evil Angel over at Black Nail Polish and Lip Gloss and was inspired, but only after viewing Scandalous over at Scandalously Polished and her AWESOME halos (holos or holographic)! So what's a girl to do? I say COMBINE!!! So here's my "Splattered" mani! I used Konad image plate M9 and Konad's eggplant special nail polish on top of the most GORGEOUS halo I've ever seen. It reminds me of a fire opal! Don't you think? 1 coat Nail Aid Ultra Rapid Growth 2 coats China Glaze's TTYL Topped with Seche Vite Stamped Topped AGAIN with Seche Vite So AMAZING!!! I've been wanting to do this "Splattered" mani for a while and finally got inspired by Scandalously Evil Angels! ;)

Got My Healthy Game On.... YO!

So, I've found some new fun in fitness.... the Wii! First of all, let me start by saying that when you change your lifestyle from sedentary to active, it is important to incorporate changes that will stick. And for me... this Wii will be sticking around for quite some time! The fact that this video game is played by your body movements alone should be winning the Pulitzer Prize for turning around the obesity epidemic in this country by introducing physical activity BACK into our kids lives! Whew! That was a super run on sentence! hahahaha! Earlier this week I got the balance board for the Wii. It included a game called Wii Fit. I have read quite a few reviews on the Wii Fit complaining that it doesn't include full exercise segments. In my opinion this game is lacking nothing because it is simply introducing fun exercise into our inactive lives and into our child's life . In a day and age when kids are typically found on their bottoms in front of a video game, eyes seemingly...
