Me and Pinterest

Seriously, how much do we love Pinterest!?!  A couple months back I pinned a video tutorial of this INSANELY cute alligator card and I FINALLY had time to make it today.  It features a 2014 Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration stamp set called See Ya Later (sorry folks, if you didn't already get it from Stampin Up, you're gonna have to peruse ebay) along with the Decorative Dots embossing folder also from the Sale-a-Bration.  To see the tutorial, click HERE.  But this isn't just about copying someone else's designs, this is about getting your hands dirty and trying something new to get your own mojo working.  I'm talking about inspiration

So here it is.... I MADE this adorable creature.  I didn't like the last line on the sentiment so I simply taped over it with scotch tape before inking.  AND THEN..... this little guy led to THIS little guy:

Not exactly perfect.  I used a Spellbinder's petite oval to round off the bottom.  I'm going to play with that a little.  A Stampin Up demonstrator friend of mine is going to bring me her Adorning Accents Edgelits.  I'm thinkin that just might be the perfect fix.  But until then, I'm pretty thrilled with how cute this is.

I think my favorite part of this little birthday note card is the fly (NOT a Stampin Up stamp BTW)!

Welp, back to Pinterest for more inspiration!!!!

How to Upload Gypsy Cut Files To Your Gypsy

Well... Today was the big day for the Provo Craft Gypsy! Provo Craft FINALLY provided the Cricut Design Studio compatibility and now we also have the added benefit of sharing Gypsy cut files... but it was at a price. I will get to that in a later post. In honor of this occasion though, I will be adding my Gypsy cut files to my blog for everyone to use. You will find my cut files in the top right corner of my blog marked *NEW (at the top of the side bar). The instructions on how to download at the bottom of this post. I hope you all enjoy them... they've been a long time coming. The featured pic here is the "welded Snow" file. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS For those of you who already own the Gypsy, here are the instructions. There is no conversion needed because these files are only .gypsy files. To save them: 1.) Connect your gypsy to your computer, turn it on and open Gypsy Sync on your computer. 2.) Once the Gypsy Sync Program has searched for an updat...

October Copic Palooza

OOOOO guys, just a quick post for today announcing the Copic Coloring Palooza on October 26th at Paper Vineyard in Chandler, AZ.  This time I'm featuring this oh so tempting treat box using The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Collection.  We will also be playing around with the use of Spellbinder's dies in the Big Shot.... see how easy it is to trim around Miss Anya's feet and then put her through the Big Shot so it appears she's coming right off the die WITHOUT having to cut her out!  SUPER EASY!!!  I will also be introducing everyone to the new Echo Park Apothecary Emporium !!!  Just one of my new favorite paper lines!!!
