Feelin The Flow

Yesterday I talked about Pinterest and the inspiration I get there.  But recently I've gotten A TON of inspiration from Stampin Up products.  I never used to be a lover of Stampin Up.  They'd have a few neat things in each catalog, but I never saw more than a few at a time.  NOW.... I can't seem to get enough!!!  The most recent product of my infatuation are the cards pictured above.  This is the Hip Hip Hooray card kit; you get 20 cards for 20 dollars complete with cards, decorative stickers, twine, clips, three stamps AND an acrylic block!!! Now that is not my pic pictured above, that pic is from Stampin Up demonstrator Tami Waddell.  It is featured on her blog HERE along with many more great projects.  My Hip Hip Hooray card kit is with my own Stampin Up demonstrator being featured on her display.  But I've certainly taken the inspiration from this kit and RUN with it!!!

Here's a graduation card I made using some miscellaneous paper I picked up along with Deep Red Cling's Quantum background stamped on black cardstock using Stampin Up's Craft pad in Whisper White.  I also used a couple of Stampin Up stamps from Hello Lovely and All Year Cheer III.  The word bubble was created using a Stampin Up Word Bubble framelit.  To make it over sized, I simply built the standard sandwich and ran it through the Big Shot until I heard ONE click.  That meant one side cut, but the other side didn't.  That allowed me to line up the cuts with my paper trimmer creating the exact size of word bubble I wanted.  I finished off the corners using a corner rounder.

Again, I used miscellaneous paper I have in my stash with on of the hearts from Stampin Up's Heart to Heart punch and their Banner punch.  The notebook paper was die cut using Paper Trey Ink's Notebook die, and the clip is an extra clip from the actual Hip Hip Hooray kit.  Another really cool thing about this kit is that there are extra pieces to incorporate into additional cards so you're really getting your money's worth!  The Sentiment is from Stampin Up's Perfect Pennants.

HELLO!!!  I swear I have used the three stamps in this kit more than any other stamp set I own and I've only had this kit for like two weeks!!!  The "Hooray" sentiment is from the Hip Hip Hooray kit and actually says, "Hip Hip Hooray, It's Your Day!"  I just taped over all the other words with scotch tape before inking. Spellbinder's Label's one was used for this masterpiece along with Stampin Up's Chevron border punch and their small star punch.  The paper is all from my stash and in fact, ALL of this card is from my scrap pile.  It wasn't until I put the card together that I noticed "IN" is featured inside the star.  Had I had a bigger piece of the text scrap, I would have made sure an appropriate word could be seen through the star window.  But for scrapper... you make due with what you have sometimes.... and I'm confident that whoever receives this card made with love will most definitely be "in hooray"... whatever that means.  LOL!

Quick Tip and Treat!

So I was on my group message board at P eertrainer.com and someone made a recommendation that I thought was wonderful! So wonderful in fact that I spent the afternoon balancing my checkbook to see if I can afford it!!!! Apparently the Magic Bullet is quite the go-to gadget for trainers and athletes! Why? Isn't that just another piece of garbage that they are trying to push on those infomercials??? Well, that's what I thought, but I've gotta say that more than one person in the discussion said that this piece of garbage is invaluable in keeping them on track with their nutrition. Here's what I heard today about the Magic Bullet: It's got a really powerful motor It really is quick and easy to use (the infomercial didn't lie) The handy single servings make it quick and easy to whip up a power shake for a quick "treat"! If you drink more than one a day, you can make many different types of shakes without continually dirtying up an entire unit! NICE! A co...

You Can Thank Scandalous

Alright, this is a long story that I'll sum up right here: I'm giving away one of my bottles of Gun Metal Pink FLASH (also known as My Private Jet by OPI). That will leave me with only two bottles, so it's almost as important as giving one of you a kidney... if I had three kidneys. Ok... so.... one day I posted a blog about my all-time favorite nail polish My Private Jet , after seeing someone else's post of the same polish that didn't look anything near the polish I have. The one I saw was a holo and mine WAS NOT. Mine was an AWESOME gun metal pink! So I posted a question as to why my My Private Jet looked so different. Well, I got some VERY helpful responses from some VERY helpful bloggers informing me that there are MANY versions of this particular polish and that no one had yet heard of MY version. I even got a request from Scandalous over at Scandalously Polished to let her know if I find another one, and I did find another three, so I sent one to her. Now my ...
