I've Gone Stampin Up Crazy

So this is me getting back to my roots I guess because I'm suddenly Stampin Up CRAZY!  Once upon a time, a number of years ago, I started an innocent card making hobby with a Stampin Up demonstrator friend of mine.  Well, those seemingly innocent little stamp orders have now turned into a stamp collection of 300+, paints, inks, markers, paper, die cutting machineS, tools, glitter, embossing powder, stickers, buttons in every color and an endless array of adhesives to stick anything the mind can fathom and plenty more that I don't have room to mention (ahem... the sewing machine devoted to sewing paper).... so you wouldn't think I need more.  But here I sit lamenting ANOTHER Stampin Up order that I just placed for more paper I JUST HAVE TO HAVE!  Oh sure, I justify it with, "It's a retired item.  It's on clearance and I may not be able to get it anymore (REMEMBER THE ROCKABILLY FAMINE???)!!!  I need it to make a very important project!"  Well, that last one is sort of a really good point.  You see, in a few months I'm gonna be a grandma and I've got some crafty ideas in the works that all started with a little tri-fold project I once made..... at a Stampin Up Class.

Presenting Kassidee's Birth Announcment featuring Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (retired and currently on clearance which is why I just ordered more), Fresh Vintage (retired and no longer available) and Apothecary Art with coordinating framelits (you can still get those... YAY), all from Stampin Up.

Yep... my grand baby is a girl and I'm SOOOOOO excited!  I can't wait to get to know this little one and after years of collecting craft supplies I'm realizing that I'm horribly lacking in baby stuff!!!  I feel another Stampin Up order coming on!

So this pic shows the announcement with the first (left) side open.  You can see that the left side is just a window, but then you open the right side....

And here's a place for Kassidee's picture and a journaling spot to put her birth stats.  In the middle of the tri-fold I included a Spellbinder's banner that Mom or Dad can write in WHATEVER they want.   Here's a close up of the flourish I stamped on the journaling page:

All I did was take the flourish from the Fresh Vintage stamp set and stamped it off the page to create a semi-border.  I LOVE how it turned out!  Thanx to my friend Dana Edwards (ANOTHER Stampin Up enabler demonstrator who showed me how to make this GORGEOUS tri-fold), you can check out her blog HERE.  If you're ever in the area and can take one of her classes, I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

***Oh!  And if ANYONE out there can get their hands on a Stampin Up Rockabilly Designer Series Paper Pack for me... I will be eternally grateful.  WHY does Stampin Up discontinue stuff I LOVE????

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle...

New Year New Copic Class

Ok, so it's another year and we're looking forward to the year ahead, but if you're anything like me, you haven't even begun to sift through all of your 2010 stuff yet and it's time to start a new year. Welp, here's a little help... I created this tag to use as an embellishment for a 2010 Christmas scrapbook layout and now YOU can make one too as it is also the featured project at Paper Vineyard's Copic Palooza on January 23, 2011!!! Everthing you need to make this tag will be provided at the class, all you need to bring is a paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive and your Copic markers. This is a monochromatic class and the suggested copics to bring with you to class are ANY FOUR copics in the Cool, Neutral or Warm color families. I used C0, C2, C6, and C9. The best part is you get to take this ADORABLE Kraftin Kimmie Virginia stamp home with you for future creations (and maybe even a head start on your 2011 CHRISTMAS CARDS!!! hahahahahhahaha ! Now that's RE...

MY VERY FIRST CRICUT CARTRIDGE GIVE AWAY!

Ok ... so the time has come. I've got some BRAND NEW, NEVER BEEN USED, STILL IN THE PLASTIC Cricut Cartridges to give away over the next couple of months and it starts with one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITES...... Hannah Montana! YAY! I LOVE this cartridge! It's got the most beautiful guitar images along with musical notes and FIVE fonts! I used the regular font and the rock star font to create my Father's Day card this year (see above). I also used the Hannah Montana cart (see below) to create a beautiful butterfly (FREE Gypsy cut file HERE ), and am currently working on a project using the gorgeous solitaire diamond. There's a rose and lips and decorative hearts, even a Pegasus ! There's just so much on this cartridge.... I use it a lot! To call this a "font" cartridge is terribly misleading. It's been a long time favorite and now I'm THRILLED to be able to give it away to one of my awesome readers! So here's how to win: Become one of my follower...
