Owl Punch Extravaganza


I am BEYOND excited!!!!  Today is July 1st and kicks off my hostess month for my monthly Stampin Up Card Club:  The Queen's House of Cards. Of course I intend to celebrate and YOU can join in on the fun!!!

Each day for 20 days I will post a new card featuring Stampin Up's Owl Punch... you won't believe all the things you can make with this baby!!!!  Then, on July 29th when I close my party, the person who placed the largest order using my hostess code will receive ALL 20 CARDS!!!  Here's the fun:

Of course it features Stampin Up's Owl Punch.  This card was inspired by Linda's card over at Crafty Distraction.  I LOVE the simplicity of this card, but with real POW from the sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped using Stampin Up's Early Espresso ink.  The stamps I used were Kraftin Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments along with CTMH's You Rock.  All the papers came from my scrap paper stash.  I used Spellbinder's Label's 28 die that I then inked with Stampin Up's Crumb Cake ink to distress the edges.  I finished it off with a little metal bling from Best Occasions.  This card just could not have been more simple!!!  But be sure to tune in throughout July because some of these cards are downright intricate with all the AWESOME things you can do with this punch.  Honestly, I've have been having a BLAST and I hope you will too!!!!

So Lame

So over at Paper Vineyard, the challenge was to create a birthday project and it COULDN'T be a card.  I've personally been creating WAY too many cards lately so I was happy to try my hand at something new..... only I didn't. :(  Instead, I was busy preparing for last week's Cricut Swarm.  Now, while I missed creating a project specifically for our Birthday Non-Card challenge, I figured the cupcake box that I made would fit the bill PERFECTLY for a birthday-themed project.  The box also has an insert for a cupcake to fit inside.  I made it with my Cricut (cuz of the whole Cricut Swarm bit) and while I ADORE this box, I sort of had a little melt down making it and I decided that this is the last Provo Craft product I will ever buy.... let me share why (read through to find out the cartridge I used for this project)! Most of you know that I DESPISE Provo Craft.  I hate that the Cricut is a one-of-kind product that I loved....

Quick Tip and Treat!

So I was on my group message board at P eertrainer.com and someone made a recommendation that I thought was wonderful! So wonderful in fact that I spent the afternoon balancing my checkbook to see if I can afford it!!!! Apparently the Magic Bullet is quite the go-to gadget for trainers and athletes! Why? Isn't that just another piece of garbage that they are trying to push on those infomercials???
