Doing My Part

Whew... Ok, my vacation came to a screeching halt the day before yesterday so I took some time to unwind, unpack and upload a BUTT-LOAD of photos.  And when I say BUTT-LOAD, I mean it.  You'll see; I will be posting MANY here over the next week or two.  You'll get to see all the fun!  My vacation consisted of attending a family member's birthday party in NM, hanging out with a dear friend who abandoned me to move to ID and then attending a wedding for a friend of the family in WA.  Well... you didn't expect this Twi-tard to go all the way to WA and NOT visit Forks?????  I mean, I HAD to do my part to support this economy, right?!?  And boy did I!!!  After I loaded myself down with all the Twilight trinkets and key chains that I was going to be giving away to all my fellow Twi-tards when I returned home, I also picked up a few little "happies" for myself.

Along with my own key chain, two tee shirts, bumper sticker, bracelet, charms and decal, I also picked up this VERY UNIQUE rear view mirror ornament.  I LOVE this thing!!!

And the final piece de resistance is my new MACHINED METAL Twilight clock!!!  My husband who so WONDERFULLY humored my Twilight obsession during this trip to Forks was actually the one to find this gem.  I'm so so glad he found it.  I wasted NO time putting it up the minute we arrived home!

So those were the fun goodies I got, we also did a tour of Forks seeing the Cullen house (the one from the book), and Bella's house with her truck parked outside of the hardware store.  And you know I got pics of the high school and Charlie's police car parked at City Hall. There was even "Twilight Firewood" on the side of the road. But the highlight of the trip was DEFINITELY La Push.  I have THE MOST WONDERFUL pictures to share with you.  I have to do a little editing (forgot the date stamp was on in my camera), but I will be getting those beauties up as soon as I can.  I am hoping to return to La Push to just hang out for a week or so... that would be the most wonderful vacation all by itself!  I will go into all of that when I do the La Push post, so check back for that!!!

Alright folks, I'm off to watch Twilight.... AGAIN!

I love that key chain! It's beautiful. I would have loved it even if it wasn't a Twi-thing. :) Love reading your posts about your trip!

Past 7 Days....

A Gluten Free Life

WOWOWOWOW!!!  So I HOPE you all are missin me!  I haven't been posting much lately because I've got my FULL focus on taking this weight off so that I can go wedding dress shopping.  The good news is that its working.  That bad news is, I'm discovering that gluten was the culprit for the problem in the first place!!!! Years ago, after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, I had a nutritionist tell me that I shouldn't be eating anything containing wheat and should probably stay away from oats as well.  She never explained exactly why or what it was doing to my body, she only said that there was strong evidence that people with chronic fatigue syndrom were sensative to wheat.  Not putting much stock into what I was told... I mean, come on, it wasn't like I broke out in hives or my breathing became restricted (and quite frankly, I didn't believe that I could live without my beloved bread and pasta), I continued eating what I was told I shouldn't have.

Halloween! With Stampin Up's Words of Cheer

I went a little crazy when this bundle came.... the projects you're about to see were just FOUR that jumped out of me the first day of its arrival.  Stay tuned... later in the week I'll be showing a couple more that resulted from the awesomeness that is this set!!!  With Halloween around the corner I felt like I needed to share a few EASY and fun ideas as this die set is pretty versatile.  Also, I won't lie.... I LOVED revisiting The Cutest Halloween set and a sneak peek at Well Defined was a definite bonus!!!  Don't forget to snag the free PDF that can be found just under the last pic in this post for a complete list of supplies and measurements for these cards: This IS EVERYTHING!!!!  I cannot get over how adorable this turned out with the cute skulls and how perfectly the sentiment works with this!  My apologies as I just realized that I forgot to show the addition of the matte dots in the video!!!! Isn't this the EASIEST Halloween card???  The video shows the H

And So It Begins

Guess what I got in the mail!!!  The Stampin Up 2014 Holiday Catalog!!!!  And to celebrate the pre-holiday ordering season, my demonstrator gave me some stamped images to play with.  Of all of them, the Happy Hanukkah stamp JUMPED OUT AT ME!   I'll give you three guesses why.... isn't this SPOOKILY DELICIOUS?!? I IMMEDIATELY thought of Halloween when I saw this GORGEOUS candelabra and requested it be stamped without the "Happy Hanukkah" sentiment as it is all one stamp.  The Hanukkah example in the catalog is really very beautiful, but this sort of SCREAMS Halloween to me.  I'll give you two more guesses what will be on my next Stampin Up order.... LOL! And so it begins!  This is my first Halloween project this year and my blood is boiling with excitement for the upcoming Halloween season. Gonna have to brew some coffee.... I'm gonna be inking up some more Halloween fun!  MAN!  I need to get moving on my costume!!!!
