BRAGGERS!!!

Ok, so today's post is just a little venting for the day.... WHY are all my friends at the Winter CHA and I'm sitter here typing up this babble on my blog??? WHY am I not blogging FROM CHA??? And finally, WHY are all my friends sending little facebook messages from CHA seemingly guilt free. My friends are braggers..... HUGE BRAGGERS!!! Shame on all of you. If I was at CHA, I surely wouldn't be bragging about it. I wouldn't post pics of all the cool people I'm meeting and all the awesome new products that I'm playing with. And I certainly wouldn't be trying to score a pic with Tim Holtz like we're both old friends just meeting up at CHA. I wouldn't think that scoring that pic is like Tim and I are new BFF's.... I wouldn't!!! I would attend with the proper decorum befitting a CIVILIZED crafter and I DEFINITELY would wouldn't be shouting about it to all my friends who had to stay home. Shame, SHAME, SHAME !!!

Quite The Challenge

FUN CHALLENGE ALERT... this week's challenge over at Make It Colourful is to color on something OTHER than white cardstock, so I chose to stamp a candle!!! I used the Ornate Floral Scroll over at Make It Crafty and American Art Stamps' Zen 10 stamp to stamp this beautifully smelling vanilla candle! This was definitely an AWESOME challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone does with this. Click HERE to head over to the challenge and get some more inspiration from the rest of the Colour Addicts.... I know for a fact that they turned out some AMAZING stuff for this one!!! Copics used for this project: E00, E33, E35, E39, E40, E49, R20, R22, R29, Y18, YG03, YG63. Thanx for joining in on the fun!

It's A Comin!

With February fast approaching, I was reminded this morning that it's almost time for another Master Cleanse. Every February and every August I try to complete a 10 day round of a cleansing fast called The Master Cleanse. So with cleansing the inside to remove toxins, I also try to keep the outside clean of toxins by using all natural soaps and shampoos, haircare products, make up, even my toothpaste to all natural... well, I try to use them all the time, but CERTAINLY during my cleanses twice a year. So this morning when I opened up my Vital Juice Everywhere newsletter to see an ad for affordable, all natural soap, I was super psyched that I might be able to save a little coin on beauty products this go around on the cleanse... Body Soap AND Facial Soap!?! I think I might have to be all over this one. True Body soap is made with only five ingredients (facial soap is 7): Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Water, Vegetable Glycerin and Sodium Citrate. It’s unscented, which means there’s no ad

Totally Worth It!

This is EXACTLY what it's all about! Yesterday I went out to my mailbox and discovered THIS GEM!!! Received from the winner of my Cricut cartridge give away, I instantly recognized images from my all-time-favorite cartridge... Disney's Hannah Montana!!! I ADORE that guitar image!!! Thank you Heather! Thank you for taking the time to make me this wonderful card, I'm so thrilled that you won those cartridges and that YOU'RE LOVING THEM!!! I know I speak for many when I say that we all hope that when we give stuff away on our blogs, we all hope that it's going to a good home and I know that is EXACTLY what happened here! This card TOTALLY made my day!

It's A Copic Thing...

So Paper Vineyard is featuring sparkle and glitz this week over on their blog and the design team was challenged to use various products to make our project SHINE. Welp, here's mine and it features a few yummy goodies that you can find in the store. I used Glitter Ritz for the scallop oval and the store's brand new Copic Spica pens in yellow and rose for the socks, the band on the little girl's dress and the roses. Of course the little girl is colored with Copic Markers (is anyone here surprised?) as well as the pearls in the middle of the flowers... you'd never guess, but those pearls started out as aqua until I colored over them with a bright red Copic marker. Check out the store's full stock of Copic Sketch markers as well as the new Spica's and liner pens. I loves me them Copics!!! I also used one of the new Cosmo Cricket papers that came in for Valentines... those roses in the background are the perfect touch to this card. I LOVE how this turned out!!! S

Back In The Saddle

Well, here I am! Back after a hard couple of weeks, but I'm thrilled to have such an AWESOME crafty diversion (I REALLY needed it too)! So Make It Colourful is running a pretty cool challenge this week to create a monochromatic/vintage/photo project, click HERE to check out the details for the challenge and to see what the rest of the design team turned out (the projects are AMAZING!!!). My project has that dreamy, Victorian feel to it featuring The Greeting Farm's Freaky Flutter digi as well as Make It Crafty's Open Window digi . For those who do not know, Make It Crafty's blog has THE BEST tutorials! To see how to layer two digis (like the two I'm featuring here), check out Make It Crafty's How To Use Your Make it Crafty Digital Stamps in MS Word video tutorial. For this project I also mixed the neutral, warm and cool grey Copic Markers... I've never done THAT before! I thought it ended up being a pretty neat effect. Everywhere I envisioned there would

Out Of Pocket

So sorry to be MIA folks!!!! My niece gave birth this past Christmas (yes, a Christmas baby!) and 14 days later she collapsed unconscious. She was rushed to emergency and a blood clot was discovered. How can that be?!? She's only 18 years old!!! Needless to say, I'm totally in shock that this has happened. But because of this I will be out of pocket for a short while as I am spending as much time as I can with her and my family. PLEASE, for those who are prayerful, PLEASE pray for her speedy and complete recovery. Thank you... you all are always so wonderful!!!

Out Of This World!

So I was playing around with the Accucut over at Paper Vineyard and found this ADORABLE pyramid box. It was super simple to cut out and put together, but I'm wondering if there is a Cricut cartridge that features a box like this... maybe a Gypsy cut file??? I'm going to have to do a search, if I can't find it, you may just find another cut file getting posted here... I'll let you know. In the meantime, feel free to head over to Paper Vineyard's blog and check out the details for this project as well as the AWESOME projects from the entire design team. They are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

New Year New Copic Class

Ok, so it's another year and we're looking forward to the year ahead, but if you're anything like me, you haven't even begun to sift through all of your 2010 stuff yet and it's time to start a new year. Welp, here's a little help... I created this tag to use as an embellishment for a 2010 Christmas scrapbook layout and now YOU can make one too as it is also the featured project at Paper Vineyard's Copic Palooza on January 23, 2011!!! Everthing you need to make this tag will be provided at the class, all you need to bring is a paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive and your Copic markers. This is a monochromatic class and the suggested copics to bring with you to class are ANY FOUR copics in the Cool, Neutral or Warm color families. I used C0, C2, C6, and C9. The best part is you get to take this ADORABLE Kraftin Kimmie Virginia stamp home with you for future creations (and maybe even a head start on your 2011 CHRISTMAS CARDS!!! hahahahahhahaha ! Now that's RE

Not So Nifty

Ok gang, it's the new year... 2011... WOW!!! So if you've read my past posts about this particular event, New Years, then you know my feelings about making resolutions on the 1st of the year. That's not to say that I didn't set some goals for this year... I totally did! One of my FIRST GOALS, is to FINALLY get some closure with this Nifty Fifties cartridge glitch! So back in OCTOBER I contacted Provo Craft regarding the brand new Nifty Fifties cartridge I received. Within moments of opening the package and flipping through the handbook (you know you all do that too!!!!) I discovered pretty quickly that various cuts for multiple images on this cartridge are located in multiple locations. Example: The ice cream cone (and it's parts) can be found on page 57 AND page 66. There are NUMEROUS images on this cartridge that are like this, so I contacted PC immediately. I was told that they were going to work on the issue and get back to me and until then I wasn't to upl
