Totally Burton

LOTS coming down the pike for The Burtonesque Dolls so you're definitely going to want to stay tuned!!!   But for this week, the challenge is an "anything goes" challenge with a Burtonesque flair and you're probably going to want to play along with us!!!  The winner of this challenge wins a guest DT spot, super special button and TWO FREE digis from next week's NEW RELEASE!!!  Alright... how about some inspiration?

So, during the last Dolls challenge for Mars Attacks I searched quotes online since I hadn't seen the movie and was at a loss on what to create.  Well, I found this AMAZING quote so I saved it, filing it away to use at the perfect time.  Yep.... NOW is the perfect time (sheesh, that was quick)!!!  This image fits this quote PERFECTLY!!!  With a second glance at the wings... one is clearly an angel's wing, but the other??? Fairy maybe?  hahahahahaha!  I am so thrilled with how this turned out!  I'm so gaga for it, in fact, that now I'm kind of nervous about future "anything goes" challenges!!!  hahahahhaha!  Anyway, I hope you all like it as much as I do.  For more from the rest of the Dolls and to enter this challenge (it's a biggie), click HERE!

***Copics used:  W0,W3,W5,R59,R46,R29,R27,R22,E59,E50 and BG01.

If you're just joining us and need to start the hop from the beginning, you're gonna want to head over to our lovely Hop Hostess Patricia's blog to start the fun here on our VERY IMPORTANT Inking Pink Blog Hop! Here's to Breast Cancer Awareness!!! My project for this hop is a reminder card..."Remember your checkups!" What a wonderful way to say "I love you" to a dear friend or family member. So, today I wanted to share HOW I added the words to her tee. First I printed the words as small as I could and still be able to read the message using my laser printer onto the paper that I would be using to color in my im...

I Think The Cat's Out of the Bag

If you read my blog, you'll see that whether I'm talking about nail art or crafts or even workout wear, my favorite color combination is girly pink, black and white. Those colors together always makes me feel the best. And I think I'm also letting the cat out the bag that I LOVE the Cricut Storybook cartridge. I know that the girls over at Cutting Above just demo'd some cupcakes with a flourish from the Storybook cartridge used as a stencil for a sugar design on top... brilliantly, sinfully yummy! So I'm not feeling so bad that, with all the NEW cartridges out, I want to feature Storybook, over and over. And look at this card; the whole thing was entirely inspired by this cartridge. It IS all about the drama, isn't it ladies?!?! hahahaha. I just reused the left over scraps from another project that I recently did (including the glitter paper.... love those glitter papers), cut out the crowns and the large letter "D", applied stickles to both and then ...
