Skin Chart

One of my all time favorite things to color is people.  I love the color variations in skin and hair and then add to that the depth of light and shadow.... I LOVE IT!!!  So it was no surprise that people were the first images I colored when I first received my new Spectrum Noir Markers (Click HERE for my first project post).  Since then I've done a couple of hair and skin charts, but I thought it would be nice to do just a BASIC skin chart to feature on Spectrum Noir's blog today.  So here it is, I get to share it with all of you!!!

Please don't judge me on my coloring skills for this... I typically ALWAYS color the skin first so that when I color outside the lines, the hair/clothing/etc. will hide the fact that I can't stay in the lines.  hahahahahahahaha!  The top row is light skin and the bottom row is medium to dark skin.  Hope this gets everyone's wheels turnin!!!  More INCREDIBLE color charts are soon to be available on the Spectrum Noir website.... stay tuned for that!!!

Thank you for these charts. I just got a set of pens and haven't figured out how to start. I don't really have the right types of stamps I think for these pens to look good so I ordered some to start coloring. I wish there was a place near me to take lessons, but havent found one. Thank you for your tutorials.

YAY 2014

Yes, yes... I know I've been away for quite some time.  Had a HARD tail end of 2013 with multiple moves, multiple surgeries and just as many nervous breakdowns!  WHEW!  Am I glad THAT'S over! I joke about having nervous breakdowns, but then again sometimes my nerves got a bit frayed and threatened to break right there toward the end of the year.  So I'm here today to tell EVERYONE what got me through and share my most recent 'HIGH FIVE'!!! So Hay House, the book publisher of one of my favorite people in the world, Dr. Wayne Dyer is hosting a " New You Now " event that kicks off in less than a week.  My guess is that Hay House will feature a good number of their published authors to sort of kick off book sales for the new year while at the same time sharing some insight and direction toward you reaching your full potential in this new year..... BRILLIANT IDEA!!!  My favorite of all is that RIGHT NOW they are featuring another life-changing v...

I'm Terribly Late.... I Know.

Yes, Yes... I'm terribly late... I know!  I was supposed to announce on April 1st that I'm having ANOTHER Favorite Things Birthday Give Away.  Well, here I am.... 7 days late, I'm here with the announcement.  BUT FIRST:  Let's check out some of the prize goodies!!! So pictured above is nail treatments from my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE nail treatment company... Nail Aid .  I LOVE their products, I LOVE their company and I LOVE their service.  And this year they GENEROUSLY donated another HAUL of their new products available at Walmart (check your local store for availability as I'm finding that not all of them carry it... which is NUTS!).  They are just so generous... THAT'S FIVE PRODUCTS!!!  Now I've never tried these products... being that they are new, but I personally use MANY of their products and I love them.  So be sure to check out their website by clicking the link above.  And just so you know which ones are my favorites, I...

Gettin It Together

Check out what THIS girl got for Valentine's Day!!!  The hubs wanted a coffee maker but I wanted work space!!!  It's no secret, ESPECIALLY HERE that I'm workin to get my craft space in the new house put together.  It is also no secret that the "secret" to my style of organization is to utilize vertical space, so when my friend Cindy showed me a picture of these AWESOME Stamp n' Storage ink pad organizers I was preparing myself to beg and beg HARD.  You see I already had storage for my Stampin Up ink pads.... Don't get me wrong.... this rotating color caddy from Stampin Up is a VERY good option, but my craft room reduced by half when we moved into the new house and I just don't have the work space I once did.  Anything and everything that can be put on the wall saves me precious work space.     And I didn't want my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads in a different spot than the rest of my ink pads (that too is an orga...
