Life Will Be Better With Copics

See... this is why I NEED Copic markers! Try as I might to blend and shade, my Stampin Up markers just aren't going to get the job done which is why I ended up highlighting with a gel pen. Life is going to be so much easier with Copics! I cannot wait to redo this card with Copics!!! Can you hear me pouting??? Hahahaha, I'm counting the days. In the meantime, I spent the day today trying to work with what I had (a WHOLE LOT of Stampin Up markers and ink pads) and this actually turned out pretty cute. I love the whole "Party In The Park" theme. I love how some projects start off one way and end up going a whole other direction. I started with this little guy (From a Greeting Farm discontinued set called Happy Chef) with a chef's hat and a cupcake, but then when it came time to decide a background, I hit a brick wall. So I grabbed some cardstock and started doodling and the park scene just sort of took form. Well there you go! Nix the hat, add a present and have the tag of the present JUMP out at you with the greeting and DONE! Yep... cute will be WICKED AWESOME when I redo this with Copics! Yes, I'm still pouting.

See, now you are making me want to get some copics. I bought one and that is all I can afford. How ironic, I just told one of my friends today that I could throw those away. LOL.

The BEST Copic Storage

**** HUGE HALLOWEEN GIVE AWAY... CLICK HERE !!!!**** Ok, so I've done posts in the past about various Copic storage solutions, but I was given THE MOTHER of all storage ideas by my friends Jennie Black and Krista Koenig!!!   Let me share with you the construction of the storage box and then I'll finish this off with the BRILLIANT solution my husband came up with.... cuz I married a GENIUS!!! What you'll need to create the AWESOME storage box pictured here is: 1 Double Deep Art Bin 1 plastic grid for ceiling lighting (found at your local home improvement store) 1 half inch thick wooden square dowel (also found at your local home improvement store) Dimensional adhesive squares Wire cutters or sheers Screws with corresponding drill bit Drill So I first cut the ceiling grid down to 19 squares by 19 squares using my wire cutters.   You will need two 19 x 19 sections of grid material.   The wire cutters went through the plastic material of the grid like butter and I

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle

You already know that today is the start of our Halloween celebration with a blog hop organized by my good friend Nicole of Canadian Nickel Scrap'n . If you're currently hopping, you should be arriving here from the Fabulous Eulanda's blog ... wasn't that Caramel Corn Box AWESOME?!? If you haven't arrived from Eulanda's blog and are just now joining us, hop to the bottom of this post for details on how the blog hop works. And now for my scary good fun before you head over to Gloria's blog on the next stop of this hop. Today I've got the "Welcome" sign that I will be hanging in my foyer this Halloween.
