The Challenge and The Dresses You Requested

I forgot to mention yesterday that the owner of my Curves advised that I try out a gluten-free diet for the next 90 days during my first run at the Curves Complete program.  She is suggesting I do that because I told her about the article I read that discussed wheat intolerance being associated with chronic fatigue syndrome.... which I have.  She thought that since I'm "tweaking" my diet anyway, that it might be a great time to try this gluten-free gig and see how I feel.  I couldn't agree more!!!  But where do I start???

I first started online.... OF COURSE!!!  Here's what I came up with:  http://www.wholegrainscouncil.org/whole-grains-101/gluten-free-whole-grains

Then I found:  http://glutenfreegirl.com/how-to-live-gluten-free/ and http://simplygluten-free.com/ and http://www.acidalkalinediet.com/high-alkaline-foods-12-perfect-foods-for-optimal-health

And great tips here:  http://www.sheknows.com/health-and-wellness/articles/803172/six-tips-to-live-glutenfree

Finally, a few new blogs that I have FALLEN IN LOVE WITH:  http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2009/03/cooking-gluten-free-on-budget-brown.html

Now... I think I'm well on my way.  Which is a good thing because Monday is almost here!!!  Here's a little glimpse at why all of this is so important to me!  Below are pics of all my favorite wedding dresses (so far).  I'm hoping that I will be able to get one of these beauties off the rack come June... what are the chances???  Anyway, to those of you who requested pics... here you go!!! :)  I'm thinking this won't be the first wedding dress post!  LOL!  And while these dresses aren't in any particular order, I will say that my very favorite is the first one, but I would honestly take ANY that are pictured!!!

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle

The Inventor Of the TV Dinner Should Be Slapped!

Close observation of my eating shows that I can scarf my tuna casserole at an alarming rate. I sit in front of the TV to eat my dinner and 5 minutes later I am pushing the plate away with little to no memory of ever have eaten. That is interesting to me because, you see, I LOVE FOOD! I also LOVE being thin. These facts SHOULD come to life by the knowledge that if I took smaller bites and chewed thoroughly , not only would I get to enjoy my food that much longer, but I would also be burning more calories (yes, the activity of chewing burns calories!!!!)! And on top of THAT amazing knowledge, my body would also be able to process the food I eat much better therefore more of the food I consume would be utilized to help build my lean mean body. So what the heck is up???? Why DON'T I slow down my eating knowing all these amazing benefits? What's causing this little glitch? Those are the very questions I asked myself at the start of this year. I knew the answer before I ever wrote th
