Make It Crafty DT Call

Hi everyone!!! Just a little FYI that my friend Zoe over at Make It Crafty is having a DT call. Here's the dirt directly from her site:

The time has come for Make it Crafty to call out to all the fabulous crafters like YOU to come play!

I am looking for a special design team from all different backgrounds who want to help others with different techniques and ideas. I want to create a challenge site where crafters can come and learn or practice a technique and receive ‘real’ feedback on their submission.

Make it Crafty will host challenges on a fortnightly basis consisting of two types of challenges.

1.A ‘monthly’ technique challenge where one designer from the design team will host the challenge based on a technique they feel they can help and offer feedback on.
2.The other challenge will be a fun challenge which may incorporate Make it Crafty digi stamps, 3D projects or products sold in store.
As you know, Make it Crafty digi stamps are designed to be used with other stamps so you will have the freedom to play with your other favourite stamps too and are encouraged to do so!

Who am I looking for?
There will be six positions available for a six month term starting in September.

I am looking for crafters from all areas of papercrafting, whether you are a card maker, scrapbooker or altered art artist. I think we can all learn from one another and many of the techniques and ideas can be used across each hobby.

I am NOT looking for people who are amazing in all areas. I am looking for crafters who feel confident about ‘one‘ technique and wish to share that experience with others.

The positions are open to anyone around the world with an active blog and any language as long as you also offer an english translation of your posts.

For more info, you can check out her site HERE. Good luck to everyone!

Past 7 Days....

I'm Terribly Late.... I Know.

Yes, Yes... I'm terribly late... I know!  I was supposed to announce on April 1st that I'm having ANOTHER Favorite Things Birthday Give Away.  Well, here I am.... 7 days late, I'm here with the announcement.  BUT FIRST:  Let's check out some of the prize goodies!!! So pictured above is nail treatments from my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE nail treatment company... Nail Aid .  I LOVE their products, I LOVE their company and I LOVE their service.  And this year they GENEROUSLY donated another HAUL of their new products available at Walmart (check your local store for availability as I'm finding that not all of them carry it... which is NUTS!).  They are just so generous... THAT'S FIVE PRODUCTS!!!  Now I've never tried these products... being that they are new, but I personally use MANY of their products and I love them.  So be sure to check out their website by clicking the link above.  And just so you know which ones are my favorites, I...

My Seriously Yummy Concoction!!

The Magic Bullet has yet to fail me!!! I LOVE it! I whipped up this ultra healthy mousse in seconds, and the mint came straight from the garden. Yay! Here's how I made it. Danielle's Heavenly Mousse 1 small container of low fat vanilla yogurt (I prefer Yoplait Light) 2 heaping tablespoons of Knudson Free cottage cheese 1 tablespoon of Amaretto flavored Agave Nectar 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon 2-3 peeled and pitted organic figs (optional) In Magic Bullet container combine above ingredients. Attach flat whipping blade and mix until mousse has formed (about 45 seconds). That's it. If you are using figs (which will create a thicker mouse after it sets in the fridge and will require longer blending time), be sure that they are room temperature before blending. Blend with chopping blade, remove and attach flat whipping blade until smooth. Allow to set in fridge at least 30 minutes before serving. This thing is quick and incredibly yummy! Here is the pic of the ingredients I used. Cl...

Feeling Empowered

Yep... I've FINALLY discovered the MAGIC that is the Google Calendar!!!  I had NO IDEA that it actually synced to my phone!!!!  FREEDOM!  SWEET FREEDOM! Now for those of you who are NOT schedulers, let me tell you why schedules are so important and why this discovery, in particular, is so empowering to me. Schedules free your mind - when you get your thoughts out of your head and placed into some kind of order (or plan) on paper, your brain is not taxed with the job of remembering. Plans allow you to reach your goals quickly and efficiently - a plan maps out the best course to get you from point A to point B.  For example:  you know that you have to meet Judy on the west side of town for lunch, then be on the east side to pick up paperwork at the office, west side again to pick up flowers at the florist and finally north to pick up dry cleaning.  Well, planning your day allows your brain to go on auto-pilot.  All it has to do is f...
