Not So Torn

So I'm tweeting (yes, on Twitter) and I see a reference from one of my Twitter friends about a seriously funny blog. Being a lover of 'funny', I clicked the link and down the rabbit hole I went. Now, for the record, I'm not a big fan of profanity, but I'm also not a big fan of 'being offended'. I am a HUGE fan of funny and an even bigger fan of telling it like it is, so while I should be completely torn on whether to read this blog or not... yah, I'm not. So much so (not, that is) that I'm devoting an entire blog post to.... The Bloggess.
This will probably be a first for her... her blog sharing credits with various Bible studies... but then again, after reading her blog, she'll probably LOVE IT and shout it to the world cuz after all she is a saint and just about everything she does and thinks is justifiable and for the betterment of human kind. I LOVE IT! I liken her to my favorite of faves Stephen Colbert whose egomaniac persona drives home some pretty relevant points, adding a little common sense by taking on the opposing (mostly non common sense) back-handed view. The man is absolutely gifted "supporting" someone all the while giving every reason NOT to support this or that... again, in the form of support. It's genius, really! Yep, The Bloggess is no different as she wittily points out the various elephants in the room. And her vulgarity just adds to the likability of her persona (whether real or pretend). I think the difference here is that she's just so positive and upbeat when putting down this or that. It's just great! By far, this blog is the best entertainment since South Park (Yes, Matt and Trey's brilliance in vulgarity), both of which remind me not to take myself too seriously! And that IS a lesson from the Bible!

Three thumbs up! :)

I'm pretty sure this is the first time ever that I've been accused of being "Biblical". I think I just need to bask here in this moment.

Awesomeness.

Good Eggs

Well.... yesterday was THE BEST DAY EVER!!!  Not only did I score AMAZING card kits from Dove Art Studio's class yesterday, but I also got to hang out with some of my favorite people!!!  Now, truth be told, I spent just about the entire day (off and on) coloring the images you see pictured.   I don't typically spend that kind of time coloring three cards, but I was working on coloring the standard "Copic" method of coloring and it was HARD for me to change up my order of application, pressure, etc.  It was almost like I was a beginner all over again!!!  I really got a taste of what my coloring students go through.  So....here are three things to keep in mind when you sit down to color with alcohol ink markers: 1.  Know YOUR mechanics and the mechanics of the pens.  Alcohol ink is like no other medium I can think of.  The blendability of this ink is AWESOME but if you try too hard, you will not get the best these markers ha...
