I Keep Staring!!!

So, I am COMPLETELY GAGA for these Sugar Nellie Stamps!  This particular stamp is my favorite from the bunch!  It's called Fairytale and I just keep staring at it.  I haven't quite figured out what to do with this just yet, or even decided if it is done or not... I'm thinking not.... but I wanted to share it with a link to where you can find these INCREDIBLE stamps!!!  Click HERE to get your hands on my new favorites!!!

I'm thinkin this one needs stitching... LOTS of stitching... perhaps on a card?  Before I go though (just for you Krista... cuz I love ya!), let me include the colors I used to color this so you can play on your own:
B26, B41, B45, BG01, E00, E02, E19, E21, E41, E57, E59, R83, R85, W1, W3, Y13, Y26.

For my U.S. friends who want to order these stamps, I just bought two a couple of days ago and paid about $23 (with shipping) for two stamps.... worth EVERY penny!!!  I can't wait till they arrive!!!

Maple Syrup vs. Honey

I did a post a while back about the nutritious sweetener for the lemonade on the Master Cleanse: maple syrup ! In fact, for quite some time now it has been my only sweetner (well, that and agave nectar... YUM!). But why maple syrup... isn't honey the magical sweetener? First, let's consider where both come from. One comes from a tree and the other comes from flowers, but is predigested and then regurgitated by a bee. Can you guess which is which??? hahahaha ! Really though, just the idea that an insect's already digested nectar from a flower lends to the idea that the nectar is already devoid of nutrients when it's vomited back up. Isn't that the whole point of digestion? To pull the nutrients from whatever it is you have ingested. So is it safe to say that honey is a bi product ? Or even a waste material? I would certainly call MY vomit a waste material... what about you? But beyond the gross visual I now have in my head of honey, I also have a real concern about ...

My New Adventure

I FINALLY got them!!!!!  My new Spectrum Noir markers arrived yesterday!!!  I'm super excited to be using these new alcohol ink markers and I'm even more excited for the privilege to play along with Spectrum Noir's design team!!! When I got the news that I had been accepted to the design team, I did a touch-down dance (seriously, I was like full-on in an end zone)... you can imagine how badly I wanted my hot little hands on these new toys.  And at around half the price of other alcohol ink markers, I knew that this new habit was not going to break my bank.  AND LOOK WHAT I DID WITH THEM. The images are from The Greeting Farm Sweet & Toxic set and the angel sentiment is from Tickled Pink Stamps.  The colors that I used for the adorable little girl were: Hair - EB8, TN8, TN5 and CR2 Skin- FS1, FS4, FS9 and PP4 Dress - DR7, DR5, DR1, CR6 and IG1 The colors I used for the boy: Hair - EB6, TN5, TN2 Skin - IG's Jeans - TB4, TB2, BGR4 Shirt - ??? (so...

Curse You 21 Jumpstreet and Heed My Warnings

Ok, so I rented it and I loved it!!!  I hate that I loved it!  And I hate myself even more that I'm running out to buy it!  But watching this HILARIOUS movie remake reminds me of all the broken dreams and unanswered questions I was left with as a teenage girl while I manipulated and maneuvered my black and white TV antennae unavailingly to give me a clear picture of the hit Fox TV show. Back in 1987, Fox was a new station and did not come through very clearly on that trusty black and white and most nights it was as if my beloved Penhall was communicating to me from the other side through all that white noise.  Yes, I was in love with Officer Doug James Penhall and that teenage ritual would literally foreshadow the pain and heartbreak I would endure watching the end of 21 Jump Street the movie... and I'm STILL compelled to buy it.  If you haven't seen the movie yet, this post might come as a shock and should definitely be considered a spoiler for anyone readin...
