Boycott! It's Good For You!

Breakfast At Subway! Wow! Subway did it again! A healthy option for the fast food crazed nation. And like their classic lunch menu, this breakfast blows what others offer AWAY! Here's what I ordered today:
WESTERN EGG WHITE MELT
  • Multi-grain muffin (toasted)
  • Egg white
  • Ham
  • Onions
  • Green bell pepper
  • Then Toasted a second time... a matter of seconds in the toaster
  • Salt and pepper
  • Provolone cheese
  • A TON of spinach
That's it! Nothings fried or greasy or sticking to any one's ribs. It's just whole and hearty and DELICIOUS!!! And you Weight Watchers fans out there will be thrilled to learn that the sandwich I just ate had only 3 points!!! Not bad for a complete breakfast that included a serving of vegetables!!! Take that McDonald's!
And since I'm bringing up McDonald's.... now's the perfect time to mention, "BOYCOTT MCDONALD'S"!!! Last year I saw Food Inc. when it was in theaters (now it can be found at Blockbuster) and heard how McDonald's pretty much single-handedly changed how our food is processed in their bid for "over 2 billion served". Meat started being massed produced which led to factory raising and processing of meat. Because of mass production, quality was reduced and that led to growth hormones, antibiotics and other poisons and additives being added tainting our food. Because McDonald's was buying in bulk to get to that "over 2 billion served" mark, they were in effect driving how the meat was being processed in order to fulfill their ultimate goal.... their bottom line. Over the years our food has been SO processed that it barely resembles what it was supposed to replace. And because the world jumped on the fast food bandwagon, that is now the norm for our ENTIRE food supply. Gone are the untainted, organic, high vegetable diets that we KNOW we need for good health. Replacing good vegetables are the endless number of pills that "treat" all the issues that we've now created with our tainted food supply. When does it all stop? I honestly don't know, but I'm taking a guess that a good place to start stopping the seemingly endless cycle of misery might be exactly where it appears to have started.... McDonald's. STOP EATING AT MCDONALD'S. Boycotting McDonald's might be the BEST thing you can do for your health and your waistline will love you for it. ANYONE watching what they eat.... check it out:
McDonald's Egg McMuffin (1 sandwich): 300 calories, 12 grams of fat, 235mg of cholesterol, 840mg of sodium, 29g total carbohydrates, 2g dietary fiber, 3g sugar and 18g of protein.
VS.
Subway Western Egg White Melt (1 sandwich): 160 calories, 4 grams of fat, 10mg of cholesterol, 620mg of sodium, 19g total carbohydrates, 5g dietary fiber, 1g sugar and 15g of protein. Note: This sandwich nutritional information does not include the addition of salt, pepper and spinach.

You do the math. And by personal side by side visual comparison I can tell you that the Subway sandwich was considerably larger giving me much more sandwich for far less calories, fat and cholesterol. Add to that the Subway sandwich just LOOKED better. Piled with bell peppers, onions and spinach made that sandwich LOOK healthy and inviting. That sandwich tasted good before I ever took a bite, if you know what I mean. Anyhow, the moral to my story is "Stop eating at McDonald's!" It will be good for you and it just might be good for everyone in the long run.

The BEST Copic Storage

**** HUGE HALLOWEEN GIVE AWAY... CLICK HERE !!!!**** Ok, so I've done posts in the past about various Copic storage solutions, but I was given THE MOTHER of all storage ideas by my friends Jennie Black and Krista Koenig!!!   Let me share with you the construction of the storage box and then I'll finish this off with the BRILLIANT solution my husband came up with.... cuz I married a GENIUS!!! What you'll need to create the AWESOME storage box pictured here is: 1 Double Deep Art Bin 1 plastic grid for ceiling lighting (found at your local home improvement store) 1 half inch thick wooden square dowel (also found at your local home improvement store) Dimensional adhesive squares Wire cutters or sheers Screws with corresponding drill bit Drill So I first cut the ceiling grid down to 19 squares by 19 squares using my wire cutters.   You will need two 19 x 19 sections of grid material.   The wire cutters went through the plastic material of the grid like butter and I

Gorgous Leaves Bundle Revisited

Yestday's Freebie Friday on a Monday projects were so fun and this set is SO BEAUTIFUL in it's simplicity!  It reminds me of a long-retired stamp set from Stampin Up!.  I was inspired to re-create the projects that I made with it once upon a time.  So here we go.... SIMPLE projects when you need a quick "hello" or an even quicker heartfelt sympathy card: I was DEFINITELY on a Bumblebee and Cajun Craze kick yesterday!  I can't stop/won't stop!  LOL!  To be fair... I had extra leaves die cut and didn't want anything to go to waste!  A quick speckle backdrop in Bumblebee then a quick "hello" greeting from the Biggest Wish in Cajun Craze with the Cajun Craze leaf popped up on a Basic White cardbase.  PERFECTION! Okay, as with yesterday's projects, the sentiment is from the recently retired SAB Delicate Dahlia's set, but you could use ANY sympathy sentiment you have in your stash.  Unlike in the past when I had to mask off the center rectangle
