2 Days Left!

Ok, so there are two days left to enter to win the Hannah Montana Cricut cartridge.... (one of my favies), and as I've been doing all week, here's today's Hannah cart project. This is my Rockstar layout featuring the AWESOME guitar from page 76, button 49. There is also A COUPLE of different electric guitars and a fret board grid <--- guitar players will know what this is. THIS BUTTON ALONE is worth the price of admission on this cartridge. If you had to pay full retail price on this cartridge ($89.99), in my opinion, it would be totally worth it JUST for this button featuring all these gorgeous guitars!!! PSSST... the following page/button also contains a guitar with wings along with some bird images! A word to the wise though... DO NOT attempt this cut unless you have a spatula to remove it from the cutting mat. Without it, you WILL rip the image trying to remove it because it's all pretty and swirly (is that a word?)!
Are you getting how AMAZING this cartridge is??!!?? So now that I'm done gushing about this cartridge (well almost), here's how easy it is to enter to win your own: Head over to the announcement post HERE and follow the instructions.
Good luck to everyone... the winner will be posted here on Monday! :) I'm so excited!
****BONUS: Here's another great project done by Happy Happy Joy Joy using the exact same guitar... LOVE IT JOY! CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO.

The BEST Copic Storage

**** HUGE HALLOWEEN GIVE AWAY... CLICK HERE !!!!**** Ok, so I've done posts in the past about various Copic storage solutions, but I was given THE MOTHER of all storage ideas by my friends Jennie Black and Krista Koenig!!!   Let me share with you the construction of the storage box and then I'll finish this off with the BRILLIANT solution my husband came up with.... cuz I married a GENIUS!!! What you'll need to create the AWESOME storage box pictured here is: 1 Double Deep Art Bin 1 plastic grid for ceiling lighting (found at your local home improvement store) 1 half inch thick wooden square dowel (also found at your local home improvement store) Dimensional adhesive squares Wire cutters or sheers Screws with corresponding drill bit Drill So I first cut the ceiling grid down to 19 squares by 19 squares using my wire cutters.   You will need two 19 x 19 sections of grid material.   The wire cutters went through the plastic material of the grid like b...

Good Eggs

Well.... yesterday was THE BEST DAY EVER!!!  Not only did I score AMAZING card kits from Dove Art Studio's class yesterday, but I also got to hang out with some of my favorite people!!!  Now, truth be told, I spent just about the entire day (off and on) coloring the images you see pictured.   I don't typically spend that kind of time coloring three cards, but I was working on coloring the standard "Copic" method of coloring and it was HARD for me to change up my order of application, pressure, etc.  It was almost like I was a beginner all over again!!!  I really got a taste of what my coloring students go through.  So....here are three things to keep in mind when you sit down to color with alcohol ink markers: 1.  Know YOUR mechanics and the mechanics of the pens.  Alcohol ink is like no other medium I can think of.  The blendability of this ink is AWESOME but if you try too hard, you will not get the best these markers ha...

Out Of Pocket

So sorry to be MIA folks!!!! My niece gave birth this past Christmas (yes, a Christmas baby!) and 14 days later she collapsed unconscious. She was rushed to emergency and a blood clot was discovered. How can that be?!? She's only 18 years old!!! Needless to say, I'm totally in shock that this has happened. But because of this I will be out of pocket for a short while as I am spending as much time as I can with her and my family. PLEASE, for those who are prayerful, PLEASE pray for her speedy and complete recovery. Thank you... you all are always so wonderful!!!
