Peace of Mind

There is just something about the Asian culture and it's themes that just soothes my soul. From Feng Shui and Eastern medicinal remedies to the imagery and even the music, there's just something about it that speaks to me.

So when I saw this little Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm stamps, I just HAD to have her. I've colored her a couple of different ways, but the green/purple/red color combination as GOT to be my favorite. And stamps like this can be used to make cards to be given for just about ANY occasion. My next use for this little gem of a stamp is to swap out the flower in her hair for a snowflake and color her all in blue for a "snow geisha"... that one is going to ROCK!!!

So a quick shout out to The Town Scrapper: Geisha Anya you see here is featured in today's Showcase Monday (check it out HERE). And, in the same post, The Town Scrapper is announcing some pretty incredible specials. You'll want to head over and check them out.... not to mention... there are a lot of my all-time favorite stamps (Kraftin Kimmie Stamps) being featured in today's post, so be sure to click on the link.

Happy Monday folks!

hey Danielle, totally awesome card, love how you've colored her hair, looks fab, and the ribbon across the middle suits her to a T. Great paper in the background too.

Past 7 Days....

Healthy Pizza

Welp... I'm on vacation. I alotted 3 days to be bad and eat whatever I want. Boy did I ever! Yuck! I feel nasty, and bloated and just generally "out of whack"! So today will be a light eating day. Oh how I wish I would have just gotten the supplies I needed to do The Master Cleanse ... Damage control: Healthy Pizza (it's what's for dinner! LOL!) 2 cloves garlic 1/4 C. of olive oil Blend until smooth in the Magic Bullet. Expect to have some left over to store for future pizzas. 2 Mission Carb Balance tortilla shells (I use 2 small, but you can use 1 large) Thinly sliced mushrooms Thinly chopped bell peppers (all colors) Diced onion Thinly sliced zucchini Diced Cabbage (any color) Non Fat Mozorella cheese Any other vegetable that you prefer sliced thin... make sure not to use veggies that are too wet, as that will keep the tortilla from crisping. And be sure that you don't overload the tortilla, or you might have a hard time picking it up to eat... remember... ...

If you haven't arrived from Eulanda's blog and are just now joining us, hop to the bottom of this post for details on how the blog hop works. And now for my scary good fun before you head over to Gloria's blog on the next stop of this hop. Today I've got the "Welcome" sign that I will be hanging in my foyer this Halloween. It Has That "New Stamp" Smell!

Yep... after so long I FINALLY picked a winner for the up-coming Copic Palooza Copic event at Paper Vineyard.  Here she is:  Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm.  The Greeting Farm is soon to be available at Paper Vineyard and little Miss Anya is kicking things off.  I won't lie, I'm going to miss Kraftin Kimmie, but I'm SOOOOO EXCITED that The Greeting Farm will be featured!!!  So for my upcoming class you will be learning to color Miss Anya using your Copic Markers with the faint line technique (as shown here), we will also be creating this tri-shutter card using the new Authenique paper that just arrived at Paper Vineyard.  Isn't this rose paper HEAVENLY!?!!? "Cutie" doesn't begin to describe how fun this card is! And BONUS, it fits an A2 size envelope!!! Be sure to reserve your spot September 28th at Paper Vineyard in Chandler, AZ.  Below is a suggested list of Copic Markers that I used to create this card.  I look forward to ...
