Alice In Wonderland Give-Away Winner!!!

Wow... I am super psyched! I love giving away stuff I love! Is that weird? For me it's a sign that I'm giving the BEST when I'm tempted to keep them!!! I can clearly see another person's excitement simply because I'm so excited... more on that in a sec.

So with these Alice In Wonderland sparkle polishes by OPI, I HAD to buy one of each so that I WOULD be able to let go of these amazing polishes.

Thanx to random.org, the winner is # 6 susies1955 said...
I've been a follower through bloglines for a while now but decided to follow through google friend too. :) Nice giveway,Susie

CONGRATULATIONS SUSIE!!! And thank you for following my blog! I know that you are going to LOVE these polishes as much as I do. I am sending you an email to the address you provided as soon as this announcement posts. Please let us all know what you think of them when you get them... don't be afraid to share some pics! LOL! Thank you to EVERYONE who participated! :)

Now for SOME MORE fun and the reason I mentioned giving away the stuff I love! I am ALREADY prepping for my 100 follower give-away. I have received a generous donation from OC Nail Art and Nail Aid has also recently agreed to donate prizes to the winner of this upcoming give-away. I AM SO EXCITED! I want it to be huge, giving away everything that I love. And, so far, I'm right on track. If you read this blog, you KNOW I love Konad nail art stamping and I LOVE Nail Aid. There are still a couple of more things in the works as far as the prize goes and I also have to figure out what the qualifiers are going to be before I actually announce the new give-away... but as soon as everything comes together... WATCH OUT! The next give-away is right around the corner here at Fun And Mental Changes, and it's going to ROCK! OH! And THIS TIME it will be open to EVERYONE so stay tuned!!! :)

RIP My Friend

I think this is what drowning feels like.  I lost a friend yesterday.  And I'm afraid that I am just having a very hard time finding the words to express what the world lost.  I'm having a hard time KNOWING she's gone.  I just can't believe that Trisha Giallella died yesterday. I've known Trish for a large chunk of my life; she was the sister of my sister's ex husband. But for all the years that I knew her, I never REALLY knew her until very recently.  Oh sure, over the years I would listen in awe at all her stories.... stories of making movies in Hollywood, the wild parties and dating Rick James.  To a young girl of 15, those stories seemed like something from TV itself and far removed from my own piddly little life.  The fact that she even shared her stories with me sent me into a stuper.  I always had stars in my eyes when I listened to Trish talk, she was so glamorous and very, very tough... very passionate and good at "living".  I...

Maple Syrup vs. Honey

I did a post a while back about the nutritious sweetener for the lemonade on the Master Cleanse: maple syrup ! In fact, for quite some time now it has been my only sweetner (well, that and agave nectar... YUM!). But why maple syrup... isn't honey the magical sweetener? First, let's consider where both come from. One comes from a tree and the other comes from flowers, but is predigested and then regurgitated by a bee. Can you guess which is which??? hahahaha ! Really though, just the idea that an insect's already digested nectar from a flower lends to the idea that the nectar is already devoid of nutrients when it's vomited back up. Isn't that the whole point of digestion? To pull the nutrients from whatever it is you have ingested. So is it safe to say that honey is a bi product ? Or even a waste material? I would certainly call MY vomit a waste material... what about you? But beyond the gross visual I now have in my head of honey, I also have a real concern about ...

How to Upload Gypsy Cut Files To Your Gypsy

Well... Today was the big day for the Provo Craft Gypsy! Provo Craft FINALLY provided the Cricut Design Studio compatibility and now we also have the added benefit of sharing Gypsy cut files... but it was at a price. I will get to that in a later post. In honor of this occasion though, I will be adding my Gypsy cut files to my blog for everyone to use. You will find my cut files in the top right corner of my blog marked *NEW (at the top of the side bar). The instructions on how to download at the bottom of this post. I hope you all enjoy them... they've been a long time coming. The featured pic here is the "welded Snow" file. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS For those of you who already own the Gypsy, here are the instructions. There is no conversion needed because these files are only .gypsy files. To save them: 1.) Connect your gypsy to your computer, turn it on and open Gypsy Sync on your computer. 2.) Once the Gypsy Sync Program has searched for an updat...
