Spectrum Noir Blog Hop: A Christmas In July!!!

Ok, you know you want it!  Today is Spectrum Noir's Christmas In July blog hop!!!  You should be landing here from Louise's awesome blog!  Did her project ROCK, or what!?!  If you're just now joining in on the fun, you will want to start at the beginning of the hop so you don't miss anything! Here's the lineup:

Be sure to leave some blog love for each of the designers along the blog hop because one lucky "hopper" is going to score TWO SETS of six markers, a pack of Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock (perfect for coloring!), and an adorable stamped called All Wrapped Up, from the new Mulberry Wood line.  WHEW... that is A LOT!!!

To be eligible to win, be sure to leave a comment on Spectrum Noir Blog Hop Post telling us your favorite Spectrum Noir color combination you saw while hopping with us this week (please comment no later then Friday, July 27 at 6:00 PM GMT).  A random winner will be drawn using random.org and posted on our blog at 9:00 AM GMT, Saturday, July 28, 2012, so be sure to check back on the Spectrum Noir blog to see if you have won!  *The lucky winner will have one week to claim their prize or a second winner will be chosen.  Okie Dokie, here's my Christmas In July project:

I got a jump on my holiday gift list with this stamped candle that I call Warm Winter Wishes.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color this adorable image from the new Crafter's Companion, Mulberry Wood, Giving set on tissue paper that I then trimmed and "melted" onto the candle.  The softened wax makes the tissue paper disappear and all you're left with is a beautifully hand-decorated candle!!!  The markers color BEAUTIFULLY on tissue paper and stamped candles make the perfect gift.... everyone will be amazed you made it yourself!!!  Here is a close up of this cuter-than-cute image:

The colors I used were EB3, EB6, EB8 and TN4 for the log.  TN1, TN2, TN3, TN7 and TN8 for the moose.  DG1 and DG3 for the trees.  IG1 and IG3 to add some shadowing to the snow and CT4, CG4, IB3 and CR9 for the lighted bulbs.  Once the candle was finished, I added liquid applique for the snow and Stickles to make the bulbs SHINE!!!  The sentiment was created by me on my computer.  Yeah... I'm now super excited for Christmas!!!  I think I might make a few more of these to give away!!!

Welp, that's it for me today.  You're now off to see Wendy's awesome project. Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate Christmas in July!  Have fun hopping around to see all of the inspiration from our team, and good luck winning the HUGE prize haul!

Inking Pink Blog Hop

Hi Hoppers! Danielle, a.k.a. FitterTwit here.... so glad you made it!!! If you're mid-hop, you should be arriving here from Chelsea's blog . Was that a great project or what!?! If you're just joining us and need to start the hop from the beginning, you're gonna want to head over to our lovely Hop Hostess Patricia's blog to start the fun here on our VERY IMPORTANT Inking Pink Blog Hop! Here's to Breast Cancer Awareness!!! My project for this hop is a reminder card..."Remember your checkups!" What a wonderful way to say "I love you" to a dear friend or family member. Now you may not be able to see it in the pic above, but I altered The Greeting Farm's Ebony so that her tee shirt reads, "Say YES to Mammograms!" So, today I wanted to share HOW I added the words to her tee. First I printed the words as small as I could and still be able to read the message using my laser printer onto the paper that I would be using to color in my im...
